Well, that's fun! But also, pretty obvious.

One thing I notice about bot accounts on twitter and the like is that they are the accounts that post a lot but never reply. I don't doubt that they will become smarter and be able to carry on conversations and eventually fool people, but we're not quite there yet.

Heck, I remember talking to Eliza decades ago, but she was pretty limited, and sure, we have digital assistants in our phones and homes now, but if someone online just keeps responding with "here's what I found on wikipedia for that" they aren't going to be very convincing.

Anyway, my original comment was that this is a fake article created either as satire or a creative writing thought experiment, and people here are taking it as some shocking fact, which is unfortunate because when it does come around, technology like this will be used by people on both sides of any argument, and we all need to be able to spot fakes.
