Why would you want to???? Food enzymes, which are extremely beneficial to health, are killed when the food is heated above 118 degrees F. The food is essentially dead at that point. Live food helps the body repair cells and promotes general good health. Everyone should eat live food, or more easily understood, raw food EVERY DAY. If you do, the food enzymes in your body do not have to be used to break your food down, and they are then used in cell repair. So when you are lying in bed each night, ask yourself: "Did I have any raw food today?" If the answer is "no", you'd better get some the next day. For example, I juice fruit every morning and drink it with all my supplements. So, today I juiced two pears and that is a start on my raw food for the day.. A salad should be in my future, too! Do not forget the benefits of sprouting seeds. These little raw plants are the MOST nutritious foods of all. Sprouted lentils can sustain life. Think about that when prepping. Bread and sprouted lentils can keep you alive. This is what the Desert Fathers lived on in the early centuries of Christianity. We can go back and follow their example. Buy wheat, get a grain mill, make your own bread and sprout lentils. You will survive.
