My family has also doubled down since the vax killed my dad, 1 uncle and my mother in law. They refuse to see. Refuse. Unfortunately, i dont feel anywhere near as close to any of them anymore and part of me doesnt even want to care. It's too sad. They act like im the bad guy for even mentioning it. My mom told me around the time of my dads death that i wasnt welcome in my childhood home if i kept mentioning the vax as a possibility .....her reason.....bc it was in her body too. I warned ALL of them and was ostracized for 2 years. We were all VERY close before all of this destroyed the relationships. I did try. I even bit my tongue for basically the last year. Doesnt matter. They. Are. Idiots. Id also like to add that i prayer your nephew is ok!! Sorry i did not before but guess my point was i feel ya on this issue and am very sorry for you and your nephew.
