There's an AskReddit thread that is basically entirely about political assassination right now. It's very disconcerting, and the ways they try to push it are even more twisted.

It really, really shows how far that site has gone to shit that it's praised so outwardly.

Edit: I think reading through that thread has actually broken the camel's back. I am going to change all of my account's passwords on that site without looking so there is no way for me to go back without going through a process of making another one.

I try to be reasonable when I wish someone else would be hurt; I don't want political assassinations, but I would smile if, say, Nancy Pelosi got into a single car accident.

If there is to be open revolt or civil war, that isn't assassination either.

But straight up just advocating, in the open, for political assassination and being cheered on for it is scary and concerning, and the few people responding against them get shoved down / seems to have had some deleted or banned while the political assassination posts are remaining.

That's legitimately scary. It's NOT GOOD at all when people start advocating for it, because it's only a step up from there until it's attempted
