The version of events that I heard was that WW1 was almost at a stalemate in 1916. The UK was running out of ammunition, basically, because it was/is an island. The allies were losing interest and the battle front had hardly moved for two years.

At that time the British government received a letter from a UK citizen asking if they would like the Americans to join in. The government said, Yes, but how could it be possible - and what would it cost?

The answer to the first question was: "Leave that to us," and the answer to the second was: "We would like Palestine." The UK citizen was Lord Walter Rothschild. He was acquiring Palestine so that he could create Israel for the Jews. Not surprisingly, it was not for the Brits to give away but they did anyway.

Lord Balfour replied to Lord Rothschild and the resulting letter is known as the "Balfour Declaration.

After WW1 the Germans were subjected to massive reparations which I think they eventually paid off around 1986. They lost land and were forbidden from having armies or from arms manufacturing. The allied team that decided on the reparations had a large Jewish over-representation.

The lost land meant that many Germans found themselves not living in the relatively new country of Germany but in Poland, Czechoslovakia and France. That caused friction as, mainly the Poles I think, had tendencies to torture and kill the ethnic Germans despite threats from Germany. Ukraine and ethnic Russians, anyone?

The Jews also declared a Trade jihad against Germany. They were already running the banks, media and entertainment, obviously. In between the wars Germany had rampant inflation. Anyone with savings in the bank would have lost it all.

Thus, the circumstances for WW2 were all in place and a WW1 war hero with two Iron Crosses took control and tried to grab "his" German people back while wreaking vengeance on the Jews at the same time.
