Good catch. This is not a proper position. It should be attention, parade rest, rest, at ease. Neither of those have hands in front.

I don't ever recall being in this position when in the military. I wonder if these guys are even Marines at all. (All that being said, I was in the Army, not Marines. I don't know if their drill positions are different than soldiers, or if they are different for WH guards, embassy guards etc...)

*** I just did some digging. The Marines do in fact have a modified version of Parade Rest that has hands clasped in front ***
