I won't say too much, but in Williamsburg I was dating this amazing Polish girl. Her best friend was a completely cashed-out Ukrainian party girl who always seemed to be hanging around Mr. Moustache, this super-tall, super-connected UK dude who had these two short black dudes orbiting around him. Sketchy as hell and always doing massive amounts of drugs. GF and I split a few years later and I never saw those people again, but, maybe 15 years later I ran into a friend who at the time was both our boss, and he laid down for me what was really happening. Everything you imagine, yup. And at the time, if you wrote for Vice (which you always did for free in exchange for drugs "well, you're partying anyway, just write what you do/see!" was an obvious/great business model) you were in at the best parties and always getting laid. Not my scene (I don't fit in with those people). THE KICKER: I later found out that my GF was married to him (UK guy), but only to give him a green card. He paid her $15k. WHELP, hey. Good times.

Those two always had different (and very young) teenage girls on their arms every time I saw them (which wasn't often and never socially, you could just see them hanging around all the time, never saying anything, etc.). I only ran into this crowd in Greenpoint and later further north. Sketchy as hell and always doing massive amounts of drugs.
