Why wouldn't you be concerned/interested/suspicious (fuck exacting semantics) if they claim to know them personally and it contradicts what you thought you knew? Why would this stranger try to lie to me when I am a nobody and have nothing to gain or lose in the situation? It was known that I am not an Arizonan and, I would assume, he was not trying to sway my vote since I don't even live there? So it should follow that it was an opportunity for him to air his mind, whether it is right or wrong / justified or unjustified, but again all assumptions and never did I claim facts other than "I had this interaction". He said it like he believed it, so of course it is going to stick with you and make you wonder, not necessarily "concerned" as you tried to pejoratively sling at me.

Again, this was a brief encounter where I could not pick the man's brain further and I wished I could have because it was strange and unexpected. All I am concerned about is if this is a one off thing to be completely discarded or if there are possibly other instances going on in or around AZ to gauge if there is possibly a sophisticated whisper campaign going on or something else that I am not smart enough to think of. Would it be better for us to not talk about instances like this before it is too late and disinfo has sown itself elsewhere and at a greater scale? I would think we need to know what we are up against and should talk about real things including interactions with ridiculous hearsay.

With us being in over our heads in an information war are we not supposed to seek alternative sources to critically think and analyze all available information? Especially if they are first hand sources whether in person or in this community? What is the point of this website or even talking to people that you come across? I guess you think I just need to groupthink like the Biden voters and just believe everything but what certain gatekeepers tell me not to.

Obviously it is not something to assume and spread"OMG EVERYONE RUN FROM KARI BECAUSE HER NEIGHBOR HATES HER". Nowhere did I say "I believe this guy who offered no proof and I am kicking my support for Kari to the curb!" It shook me and stuck around in my brain because this is the first I heard someone who you would assume would like to MAGA to not like Kari.

I asked simply (although I guess "confusingly" thanks to replies like yours) if anyone else has heard similar HEARSAY. My understanding is that "hearsay" is almost never fact and it is rooted in being approached with caution because it is likely false, but maybe that definition has been changed like the definition of a vaccine and I just was not aware of the update.
