5-7$ per ounce over spot is a bit high, but some government coins can carry a 4-5$ premium. In today's environment, $5 over is the most I'd ever pay per ounce.

Possible LCS might have their premiums that high vs online dealers. I'd buy from an LCS if I had one that didn't charge sky high premiums, but online is the closest I can get to spot.

Demand for physical metal is much higher than ever (obviously, look at the world today lol), so the days of buying 100oz bars for 99c over spot are gone. $2 over for 100oz is a "deal" lol. The smaller you go, the bigger the premium. Recommend having a mix of silver pieces: govt coins (my state taxes these), generic rounds, bars of various sizes.
