I call it The Name Game and have done it my whole life. My family for some reason had years worth of Who's Who books that I would read like a novel and it caused my eyes to stay wide open without blinking.

Miles has assistance.

He tends to stretch the name to fit all too often to my taste.

Miles knows all the names of the trees and clear-cuts them to find the whig in the woodpile.

Denying the existence of the forest that is Q.

Ability and Loyalty would be valued over bloodline, lacking those qualities.

The name alone doesn't place someone as a high player in the cabal of course.

I showed how this can be abused to Miles by doing the same thing using his own names, for which he banned me of course and seriously posited that I was posting 'from Langely' because I seemed to know too much about things he was guessing at. LOL

He has some great insights about certain subjects within science, as counter-balance.

As for names and bloodlines:

It's a great place to start, but as in the word 'begat', has holes in the lines, what with nephews, raising children in surrogate families, children born of servants and the like.

Such threads certainly exist. My family on both sides contains various blackguards of history that my immediate family is totally unaware of. Each intermarried into a bloodline and so were never part of 'the register', yet their roles proved invaluable.

Edward DeVere is a fine example of someone who was 'half-blood' and therefore not considered to be in-line of succession.....so he went on to other things as a hidden hand and the name DeVere disappears while the line changes names or even horses.

But like the horses, it's a race with winners and losers and surprises from unknown stables. So don't bet the house that the foal sired by Man of War is a dark horse by default.

Back to Miles: His work is useful. Like a fingerprint analyst because everybody's got them. But If he were a fingerprint analyst, he'd make matches based off a shared name and fuzzy prints which could possibly throw good Sherlock off the path if he didn't know better.

Want to see Miles off guard? Want to watch his head explode? Do research on pedo White Rabbit Boy Dobson and his 'white stone' entries in his diary. What made his white stone days so special? Go ask Alice.

Then go ask Miles "What's up with..." his 'White Stone Foundation'.

Prepare to be banned.

Wear it with honor.

"Oh....look at the Time....I'm late........I'm late, I'm late, I'm late........and miles to go before I sleep."
