Considering CIA spying on domestic politicians and the population is totally illegal he thought the American people and the world had a right to know.

I would say he is a good guy.

Edit: It could have been the NSA not the CIA. Snowden worked for CIA as a contractor i think. Its been a long time since i saw them.
