You're right in that GEOTUS is indeed polarizing. Of course, anyone who stands up to the deep state and shakes up people's innate comfort zone will be vilified. It just happens to be him cast as the lightening rod of contention since he's the public face of this fight.

The best way around the deep state casting him as a villian, in my humble opinion, is to stick to exposing facts and their lies. We have numerous examples to refer to - medical, legal, educational, governmental, etc. - where the deep state has been egregious in their offenses against humanity.

Amazingly, many of the sheep are still completely unaware though. Exposing the facts and lies of the cabal and then repeating, repeating, repeating will be a powerful antidote to the programming.
