There are many ways that this shitbird (Bourdaine) could have gone out.

• He was a former heroin addict, supposedly. Perhaps he decided to chase the dragon again.
• He was dating at the time an obvious Satanist witch who has probably been the victim (and perpetrator) of ritual abuse (Asia Argento).
• He was supposedly found hanged (auto-erotic asphyxiation, it seems?). "The Hanged Man" (Tarot) does seem to be a way these Satanists like to leave bodies.

P.S. The Chateau Marmont is for decades, the "No Tell Hotel". Lots of crazy shit has happened in those bungalows. As this post states, the Chateau Marmont is not The Standard Hotel, but they are close to each other.
