It is your assertion that it doesn't affect others. I disagree that people participating in the fake pandemic theater aren't affecting others. It's not that I think we should be able to make laws against people wearing masks. It's that I believe that for those sorts of pernicious behaviors that we don't feel we can rightfully make laws against, and yet still exert a pernicious influence on others, we should be able to point out, mock, and discourage such behaviors extra legally, by social disapproval. The person who made the original comment was doing that, and I wholly support it.

When DeSantis commented to those school kids standing behind him to take off their masks, he wasn't ordering them, but publicly pointing out their folly. If you think that only illegal activity is where we should determine what we must socially approve or disapprove, then it is you yourself who are the liberal idiot. It is precisely such free-for-all attitudes that erode the capacity of society to enforce its own sense of self-preserving decency.
