This one hits a topic that has been on my mind awhile- Muslims and Chinese. We know a little about ugyurs today but I wonder about the extent of piracy and slave taking by the Muslims against far eastern nations, versus the way they raided and invaded Western lands.

Here you note that there was the first and last recorded army conflict between caliphate and China... Why no further push? There obviously were riches and slaves to be had.
