I’m doing Christmas season baking for the first time in at least five years. Finally feel like doing it and Christmas isn’t a burden anymore. Long story, my grandparents are gone extended family isn’t close like before (different reasons). I would always get in a bad funk and couldn’t get excited like I always had. Thankfully my daughter picked up the torch and we always have great memories. So, I’m baking sweet potato, chocolate chip & oats cookies. Had one once at a farmers market, amazing! I’m terrible about not reading a recipe throughly before jumping in. I’m a jump first kinda girl ask questions later. The recipe doesn’t have an egg. I thought maybe it printed wrong and I’ve searched several recipes that use eggs. I didn’t want to mess them up by adding an egg. It will be interesting to see how they turn out. Edit: Should have used an egg. They taste good but it’s kinda grainy. I was going for a regular chocolate chip soft cookie. I’d also leave out clove & ginger. I used half the amount listed. Here’s recipe if you want it. Passed hubby test😀
