It seems to me that the person who pushed the Roe overturning was most likely Pelosi.

She probably looked at the polls and determined that it was inevitable that Roe would be overturned. So probably she then decided on a controlled demolition where she would get something out of it: a huge talking point that would at least arguably cause higher voter turnout on the D side in the mid-terms, but also something to plaster across the news sites/papers to help keep other more damaging stories from finding their way onto the "above the fold" (haha! Old school term from back when we had newspapers) sections of these news sites.

It's a lot of "probably"s. But I am guessing I am correct. She is definitely one for these sorts of tactics. She is not to be underestimated on big dumb shit like this.
