I have seen the video as well. I don't have an uncut version of it. The whole thing is "cartoonishly stupid" as you say.

If you google around for Doug Jensen, his name, you can find more. He was convicted, but I haven't found if he has been sentenced.

I did come across this odd bit.

The defense did not attempt to claim Jensen was not present at the Capitol on Jan. 6, but painted a distinction between the Capitol rioters "dressed in costume" and those "dressed for battle." Jensen, the defense argued, was the former. 

Very interesting defense, wouldn't you say?
