Why not believe it? What's actually holding that belief back? I don't counter someone on data, I counter them on logical thought processing. Why not believe that Ukraine govt has the possibility of being corrupt? Isn't ours? Are people just "good" naturally? Why blindly support something with no hard data, but be in disbelief when you are presented with some? If you don't truly want to know what's going on, why entertain the subject? Isn't it easier to just be indifferent, or at least respectful enough to say "I'm not sure if I believe that, but I can't say it isn't happening, since I am not a witness to any of it"?

The thing we have to work on most is not proving a point or getting into debate, it's acknowledging the difference between people who are interested in the situation and truly want to help others understand and those who are egocentric attention seekers who act immature by nature and only want to see the fire rise rather than keep the peace. If they don't want to understand, then let them not. Let that be their loss. If after a few minutes of conversation is not working, just let it go. Just my humble opinion.
