You can see a little bit of what you are talking about here on GAW. Some hyper-religious freaks got all bent out of shape that the title of a post "took God's name in vain". Seriously. I thought I showed admirable restraint when I did not go on a flaming rant telling them to fuck the hell off.
Very simply, religious tyrants try to FORCE everyone to believe exactly the same things, exactly the same way that they do. I am a "small L" libertarian, so any efforts to force me to do things I don't want to do has me starting to reach for an ammo box.
I myself am religious (Christian) in a general way, but I am not a fan of any organized religion (all of which end up being about accumulating power and money for the people running them). I think religion is a more personal and private matter, best kept to oneself.
I think it would be great if more people on GAW kept their religion to themselves, as well.
Your words mean NOTHING. Only actions matter. You want to fight against immorality, you do it by your actions, showing how leading a moral life produces vastly superior results. You lead by example, not by talking a good game. Prove it.
