Let's think realistic. We have to realize that 'military' is not just one homogenous entity where all members of it are aligned with single theme. Much like any other societal structures, there would be numerous indifferences amongst military personnel or groups. If anything, I'd think individuals are much dumber and more idiotic than us sitting here outside the box. Because as part of their training, they have to abide by their leader under most if not all situations and due to their hierarchical structure and compartmentalization of the groups, they are in need-to-know basis for most of the information. That means they are more likely to be brainwashed by the narratives that their leaders put forward.

Then the question becomes who is controlling the high-ranking officials of the military who have at least some degree of autonomy. Pretty sure there are multiple divisions of interest there. It's all about information flow and using individual's discernment to decide whether to comply or push back. When comes to military, I doubt they have much scope to talk back to their leaders compared to any other sectors of job. Keep in mind, each individual in military is just like any other people with their families, their cell phones and other attachments. All of these hinder their ability to be true to intent of military force.

When you consider all of it, "military is the only way" sure seems a fantasy slogan put forward to prevent citizens taking to the streets. A civil war inhibitor at best. Now, I could be bat shit crazy in any and all of the thinking, happy to admit so if and when EBS happens with marshal law lockdowns and 24/7 broadcasts about crimes against humanity and tribunals. One can only dream for so long.
