If they didn't suffer loss due to the pandemic response - and by that I mean financial - I find these people to be in full REM mode still. If you are still earning your pre-2019 pay (or better) and working from home, life seems okay. If you are struggling to keep your doors open and pay the bills due to actions that you had no hand in creating, you look at it differently.
