That makes sense. I used to hike sycamore canyon area and found what looked like air vents. Official story is that used to be a landfill and those are for venting gasses. Also large water aqueduct goes down there and those are air vents. Not buying it. If you view the area in Google earth you see concrete bunkers in the hillsides. Said to be ammunition stores. Lots of what appear to be dirt helo pads throughout backcountry east of mira mar. There is an advanced radio tower just behind houses along pomerado rd. The enclosed type that look like a white ball on a tower. Its a military base so yah this stuff is supposed to be there, but I'm guessing there is an underground facility there too.
