My brother shared this with me, at a time when after, more than 2 decades in other countries, I came home and began trying to find out who my father was and what I was to him. We hadn't lived together since I was 13. I didn't really know my dad as an adult, because I was living in other countries, trying to make a difference for humanity.

At around age 43, I began a 10 year journey of trying to understand my dad. My dad had had a traumatic childhood, and so much of him was a closed book to me.

My brother shared this music with me at a time when I began realizing my dad wouldn't open up to me and that I had to do the opening up. (I had essentially skipped about 2 decades of 'western' music while living elsewhere).

FYI, I found my dad, and came to love him profoundly, before he passed on.

Sharing this for anons out there who are still trying to reconcile with who their mum or dad truly is, and to learn to love them despite all past history, including the pain of recent years.
