Junior would actually be a good candidate (for arrest) IMHO.

POTUS did say it would be a former president and a republican. Then the fact that if Biden were president (vs resident) it wouldn't make any sense whatsoever for Barry Soetoro to be arrested under Biden's watch. So we have the rabid left braying for republican blood and TPTB wouldn't get so much blowback if they went for Bush Jr. While wanting the bad orange man as their first choice, getting Jr would allow them to smear republicans in general.

TPTB (FBI?) can always claim that they came across the 9-11 files while sifting through the Potatus stash of classified docs they took from his garage or other locations. (POTUS has a detailed inventory of all his files the FBI grabbed, if I'm not mistaken). They've got nothing on POTUS and they know it so why not get the next best republican and try to take POTUS out of the running "by association". Sacrifice one of their own, a RINO, for the greater evil.

Sounds like a reasonable tactic while they're floundering around - unsuccessfully - trying to pin something, anything on POTUS. MAGA wants Jr to face justice for his crimes and the rabid left wants republicans stopped before 2024. By outward appearances it would look like a Win - Win.
