My brother was stationed at the Coast Guard Station in Elizabeth City, NC for about 10 years starting around 2002 or 2003. The wife and I took the kids to Colonial Williamsburg several times when we went down to visit. This re-enactment was always a highlight for me. The 'Liberty or Death' speech is one of the great American oratories and my personal favorite along with 'American Crises'.

Our yearly trip was scheduled for Easter Break (my slow season, the kids only missed a week of school) and we would take two weeks. Being a Civil War buff and amateur researcher, one of our trips was always to a battlefield. We also did Washington a couple times, Kitty Hawk, Mt Vernon and Monticello and of course Kings Dominion Amusement Park (have to keep the kids engaged). Good memories of those days. I tried to raise Patriots.
