It is absolutely irritating when people claim we're not a democracy. They obviously have no idea what the word means. A Republic is a Representative Democracy.

You'd think that people who are so invested in politics and government would understand basic concepts like democracy, but...🤷‍♀️.

And it's such a petty reason why people do the "We're not a democracy, we're a republic!" bit.
