I take 10,000 IU of NOW vitamin D3 daily along with one Super K from Life Extension...my D level went from mid 20's ng/mL to 60ng/mL and my health has improved in MANY areas...so don't throw the baby out with the bathwater...there are reputable brands...

BTW I am allergic to the sun so I do not do excessive sunlight...in fact high levels of D have helped the sun allergy...if I acclimate slowly...

Good luck getting your levels up...it makes all the difference in the world...
