I remember an Interview with Renee Richards back in (or around) 2009 in People Magazine where she/he said she/he regretted having the surgery and wishes she/he had just taken antidepressant meds and skipped the knife part. And one of the things they discussed was the astronomical suicide rate of those who had undergone the change. The numbers they were talking about was around half of those who had gone the surgery route regretted doing it.

Now the mainstream line is that only a tiny % have any regrets. If you listen to Jordan Peterson's interview with "Cloe," a teenager who fell into the surgery trap and is now suing the Dr's and Hospital for what they did to her, you will understand why. She has been viciously attacked and hounded by the perv patrol for going public with what happened to her.

Also note that "Renee Richards" now says she/he was misquoted in the interview. But there is no indication that she/he protested or asked for a retraction back at the time.

EDIT: For those who don't know, Renee Richards was a male transvestite tennis player back in the 1970s and/or 1980s who played on the women's circuit after surgery.
