The last 6 years would seemingly indicate. They never particularly gave a damn about Collateral Damage. Limiting it? Maybe. Preventing it? No. How many died from the Jab alone?

Oh sure they gave us the canned “You are safe” spiel. But Basic PR would tell you. You don’t tell the general population you want to prevent from doing something stupid like a Civil War PT 2. That a certain number of them, their families, and possessions have been written off as acceptable losses and collateral damage by a bunch of number crunching suits they don’t know. Suits who can spend their time in bunkers behind guards and walls. While the general population deals with the fallout and consequences of whatever choices the planners and number crunchers decided would be the most optimal.

Then comes the vague descriptions of the future. We never actually got told what it’d be. Just that it’s be so Amazing, cool, and worth the sacrifice. While Letting people and opportunists fill in the blanks on their own. As people are remarkably more inclined to suffer and die if they believe there’s a purpose. Like say a future that’ll match whatever idealized version of the beliefs they hold.

Hence the Libertarians who think every transaction will be in either Precious Metals or Crypto. And they’ll be able to own/do whatever free from any oversight by anyone.

There’s the people who believe the promised future will amount to Post-Scarcity Fully Automated Luxury. And it’ll be a time of plenty and prosperity unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

Then there’s the Christians who believe the future will essentially be a Christian Theocracy, Though they’ll never willingly admit it, with the Trappings of Republicanism.

There’s those who believe that the promised future would be a Sci-Fi Future. Technology that was hidden will be released and humanity will venture out as intrepid explorers while we deal with the nascent birth pangs of our Interstellar Civilization. Which may or may not include Post Scarcity Luxury. At least depending on the flavor of Sci-Fi.

There’s some who believe that the Future will be a mix of Sci-Fi/High Fantasy as we find out that the Ancient Myths and Legends. And the more fantastical historical accounts. Weren’t completely made up. And were instead real. Though heavily Embellished with Time and changing influences.

So on and so Forth. Repeat Ad Nauseam. We aren’t the pilots of this ship. Just along for the ride whether we want to be or not.

TBH. The future I’d settle for is a modest paying relatively low stress job and being able to die peacefully in my sleep.
