That is what the delegates are for - whoever has the most when they get to the Republican National Convention is supposed to become the Republican nominee. They will play games if they think they can get away with them, but at least our side doesn't have "super delegates" like the dims do.
Once the general happens the winner is whoever gets to 270 electors.
