This is the war to end all wars (hopefully). It is not going to be clean, it's not going to be pretty, people are going to die. Game theory (according to a certain interpretation of the Q line above) suggests the likely death toll, when all is said and done, will be 4-6% of the population, or around half a billion people.

It very well could get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

Considering that Utopia was intended to have about half a billion people left over, I'd call flipping that on its head a win.

ONLY AT THE PRECIPICE [moment of destruction] WILL PEOPLE FIND THE WILL TO CHANGE.

I don't think the "precipice" is going to be pretty.

This war is something that is not simply just a show of actors is it?

Yes it is. It is all a play, a show. All wars for at least the past three centuries have been orchestrated on both sides by the same director (not counting colonial (hostile takeover) wars). They don't call it a "theatre of war" for nothing.

Literally hundreds of thousands of Russian and Ukrainian soldiers have been dying in this horrible war.

That is the nature of the theatre of war. The extras are... extra.

All the world's a stage

But we are not the players, we are just holding up the board. Once we realize the game running over our heads, and who the real players are, then and only then will we be willing to stand up, and knock the board over, ending the game. Some of us won't make it to the end. How could we reach The Precipice that way?

The Precipice is going to fucking suck. If it didn't, it wouldn't be much of a precipice would it?
