Yesterday my energy level was low. So, I watched several videos, commented here on GAW, and wound up this morning with connecting some dots. Here's the dots from the activities yesterday:

  • Posted my morning Bible read on GAW, a repeat of Acts 13 from 11 months ago.
  • Read my Sunday Bible class lesson for this Sunday (tomorrow) titled "Guidance Needed" from Genesis 24, taking notes in margin, one of them was "Looking for God's work daily".
  • Prayed for those on the prayer list, adding the GAW requests and my SIL.
  • Watched a video of old news about Chicago citizens raking city officials over the coals for placing illegal immigrants in parks and schools, displacing their children. Commented about it on GAW.
  • Watched some videos about Fani Willis Investigation, again with government officials and citizens seemingly battling over what is true.
  • Commented on GAW about abortion where Kari Lake seemed to moderate her position to gain more votes. Had reasonable discussion with others about my deeply held viewpoint that seems extreme to some.
  • Purchased some new baskets (for dirty laundry), some Texas Sweet onions for planting, and a bag of shock for the pool.
  • Watched "The Chosen" Season 3, Episodes 7+8. These are great and follow Jesus teaching to all people in the Decapolis, who were fighting with each other after hearing a parable from two of His disciples. They all were hungry and were fed. The episodes also showed the Pharisees seeking to catch Jesus to charge him with something. And finally it highlighted a story line about Simon Peter and his wife, Eden, losing their child (I didn't even know Simon Peter was married in all of my Bible Reads.). It was beautifully done with Episode 8 starting with a flashback to 990BC where Asaph the musician was presenting a new Psalm to King David. It ended with Peter walking on water to Jesus and Eden doing her ritual purification in water while praying the Psalm for her husband, Peter.
  • Watched Lee Strobel "The Case For Easter" Part 2.
  • This morning looked up the Psalm from Episode 8. Here is where I posted it to GAW a couple of years ago. Focusing On God Really Helps. My Morning Bible Read Was Psalm 77. Theme: We are comforted through the hard times by remembering God's help in the past. Recalling God's miracles and previous works can give us courage to continue. . One of my comments from it was, There's this thing I do daily that helps my memory--I write down "What God Did Today:". It's just a documentation of what I see God at work through others, through events in the world, and through me. The Song from it was https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xBYs3wmhUVc.

I realized that I have strayed from writing down what work I see God doing daily to writing what I do daily, then only weekly. If one watches all the episodes of The Chosen, they will see that Matthew (Jesus' former tax collector disciple) wrote down everything he saw in great detail, meticulously, about Jesus. I consider these dots a wake up call. Time to correct my focus to what work is being done by God.
