My last 2 cars... I'd quit driving in 2007, and promised God. that if he found a way for me to get by without driving I would... In 2012, I bought a brand new Honda Fit, My new Bride was arriving after her Visa was approved and I wanted to make life easier for us. 4 Months later I was rear ended and my brand new car totaled. Trying to skimp by I didn't have Uninsured Motorist Ins. But since it was a hit and run my Insurance paid the car off for me. Claims Adjuster remarked that I was hit really hard!

I then quit driving again until late 2015, my wife was working as a CNA and had to walk down a sketchy road at night. So again, I bought a new car... I was working at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, 2nd biggest Convention Center in the world... I work nightshift and was able to park free in the pay parking lot that costs 12 bucks to park in daytimes and evenings. The free lot was a 20 min. walk away.

I got off work to a barely gray drizzly sky early in the morning, and didn't clean my windshield very good. I hit someone's Drizzly Gray colored clunker. I left to go pick my wife up from her work, then returned to the OCCC and found a Deputy to report the accident and left a note with my contact info. The Deputy asked me why I came back, no one comes back... Kek!

Then after my car was repaired, a few months later, my boss let me pull my car up near the building to vacuum it out via a power outlet. Security has its perks. I went through the tollbooth and cleaned my car, bno problem. BUT when I went to put my car back in the parking lot, I had to go through the other Tollbooth. It was unlit and the barrier arms had no reflectors. I went through and the arms were down...

The Arm scratched my front bumper, dented and scratched my hood, scratched my windshield, put a dent a half inch deep and 6 inches wide in my roof, scratched the back window, Trunk lid, and rear bumper. After the previous accident my Insurance went from 850 for 6 months, to 1250. After this accident I didn't even check to see. I surrendered my tag and sold the car back to the dealership at a 5K loss, as the car had been in two accidents, and they just sent it to the auction.

I always kept my cars very clean, often waxing weekly. I also had a 0% loan on one, and a .9% loan on the other, but between bad vision and A.D.D. I should never have been a driver in the first place... The A.D.D. is self-diagnosed, I was a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome baby, and I smoked a LOT of WEED, self-medicating my childhood trauma away. One or both of these caused my attention span problems.

I don't believe God punished me for buying the last 2 cars, but rather feel a I told you so moment...
