On an elk hunt this weekend I ran across a guy from AZ and I asked him if he was excited to be getting a good governor in November. He looked at me with a concerned look and said "who??" And I said "Kari Lake!". He then looked at me as serious as can be "look, I am a Republican and Kari is NOT what she says she is." I then said "oh? How so?" "Let's just say I know her personally because she has a cabin up by me and she is not who you think she is."

It shook me up a little as a Kari fan and I cannot think for the life of me what would really be going on because she talks such a good game. Can any AZ pedes share any on the ground intel as to why a local would potentially genuinely feel this way? I am hoping the guy has heard she has been to a drag show or two and that that is all that he has against her.

Edit: TO BE CLEAR, I never said I believe this guy, I am only wondering if anybody, especially AZ locals, could share if they have heard anything similar. So far there have been good comments proposing that he is a rino, which makes a lot of sense, and the point of this post would be to possibly have someone chime in that they see rinos being vocal against her in AZ to corroborate the theory. Not trying to doom just trying to intel gather to better see what is going on.
