A huge percentage of Americans are very low in this vital hormone especially non-white people. It takes 2-3x more sun for non-whites to get enough Vitamin-D in their skin compared to whites and it's a lot harder to get the right amount when you're in the U.S. if you're above the 40th parallel which is everything above south Texas, LA, and Florida.. so if you're not from those areas of America, consider supplementing with Vitamin D3.

Key important things BEFORE you take Vitamin D3, only take it with Vitamin K2. Why? Because when you supplement with Vitamin D you're adding extra calcium into your bloodstream, K2 chaperones calcium out of your arteries (where you don't want it) and into places where calcium is needed like your teeth, bones, etc.

Also, before supplementing, test your Vitamin D levels and see where you stand first using an at-home blood test that you can purchase on Amazon or anywhere else. I recommend one called Cerascreen, it's under $50 and you get results fast.
