Many do like him over there and the number one reason I've heard from locals is that he's a strong leader that loves the country and puts it first. Many also believe things would have been much worse for Russia post-Soviet Union without his strong pro-Russia leadership. There's definitely propaganda that covers his negatives over there too, but you'd think he's the most corrupt leader in the world by our media. Xi and all the globalist leader scum are much more evil and dangerous.
Having worked in Russia quite a bit, outside of the bad, which there is, there are two things I've learned to respect about Putin. Likely the two main reasons they hate him too. He is nationalistic and puts his country first, and he wants nothing to do with the globalists' plans. While corrupt, I do believe he cares about his country and is a strong leader for them against the globalists.
Not nearly as a good of friends. JE stayed in his neighborhood and Trump was friendly to his neighbor until he saw he was a creep. Then denounced him, volunteered to help the investigation against him when no one else would, and rumored to have blocked him from Mar-a-lago.
MJ on the other hand was Trump's actual good friend who he never turned on, only defended. MJ even stayed at Trump Tower and regularly played with his kids.
