British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer criticised Elon Musk and others for jumping on the “bandwagon of the far-right” for raising criticisms over the grooming gang child rape scandal and demanding fresh national investigations.

In his first major comments since international scrutiny was raised over the failures to protect thousands of mostly young white girls from sexual predators, mostly of Muslim extraction and from Pakistan, Prime Minister Starmer once again shot down the idea that a national public inquiry is necessary.

The government has claimed that previous localised reports are sufficient and that rather than examining the failures of local police, politicians, and other officials, the focus should be on implementing changes called for by previous reports.

However, Prime Minister Starmer has personally come under scrutiny, and some suggest that he may have been complicit in the failures during his tenure as the nation’s top prosecutor between 2008 and 2013.

Starmer rejected that he is seeking to obscure his history from the public, saying per The Telegraph: “My record, it is open. There is nothing secret about being director of public prosecutions. Every single case I prosecuted went to court and was looked at by a judge.

“This isn’t about whether I defend myself or my record, frankly. That record is there, you can see it, you can make your own mind up.”

“I enjoy the cut and thrust of politics, the robust debate that we must have but that has got to be based on facts and truth, not on lies, not on those who are so desperate for attention that they are prepared to debase themselves and their country.”

Starmer went on to criticise unnamed politicians in Britain “calling for inquiries because they want to jump on a bandwagon of the far-right” which he warned is threatening the “nature” of politics in the country.

There have been growing calls for a national public inquiry into the failures to protect young girls in Britain, with it previously being revealed that officials ignored accusations of child sexual abuse committed by Muslim gangs out of concern for appearing racist.

Both Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, who has raised the issue for over a decade, and recently installed leader of the Tories Kemi Badenoch have called for a national inquiry into the scandal.

Responding to Starmer’s comments on Monday morning, Reform MP Rupert Lowe said: “There is nothing “far-right” about wanting justice for thousands of British girls who were abused and raped by mainly Pakistani gangs.

“Not a far-right ‘bandwagon’, as Starmer says – we must move past these slurs. Focus on the girls, and brutal justice for those responsible.”

For his part, Mr Musk claimed: “Starmer was deeply complicit in the mass rapes in exchange for votes. That’s what the inquiry would show.”

Foreigners are more than three times as likely to be arrested for sex crimes in the UK as British citizens, according to a first-of-its-kind analysis by the Centre for Migration Control using data from the Home Office and the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The report comes amid claims that the government has purposefully suppressed information on migrant crime stats, as well as a renewed uproar over institutional cover-ups in the ‘grooming gangs’ scandal.

Groups of men across the UK, predominantly of Pakistani origin, have reportedly raped and tortured thousands of underage girls in towns across northern England over the last two decades.

Police in England and Wales arrested more than 9,000 foreign nationals for sexual offenses between January and October last year, according to the data, which was released through Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. That figure represented 26.1% of the total estimated 35,000 arrests for sexual offenses.

The data show almost 165 arrests per 100,000 of the migrant population, in comparison to 48 arrests per 100,000 British citizens.

In the City of London, foreign nationals accounted for almost 67% of arrests for sexual offenses.

Looking at all crimes, the report showed that foreign nationals were arrested at twice the rate of Britons, with 131,000 arrests over the same period last year. While foreigners make up nine percent of the population, they accounted for more than 16% of arrests.

Albanians were the nationality most likely to be arrested for sex crimes, followed by Afghans, Iraqis, and Algerians. Romanians accounted for the most arrests for crimes overall, followed by Poles, Albanians, Indians, Pakistanis, and Nigerians.

Robert Bates, the founder of the Centre for Migration Control, told The Telegraph that the government must implement “far stricter visa protocols” for those nationalities with a “disproportionately high propensity to engage in criminality.”

A government spokesman said on Monday that the Ministry of Justice “already publishes the data on convicted foreign nationals serving in our prisons” and has a plan for “smashing the criminal gangs” in Britain.

Calls have grown for a public inquiry into the grooming gangs scandal in recent days after Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk publicly attacked Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s handling of the issue when he led the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service, from 2008 to 2013.

In a series of posts on X, Musk pointed to reports that the Home Office allegedly urged the police forces in 2008 not to investigate sexual exploitation of underage girls. Musk called Starmer a “national embarrassment” and said he “must go.”

According to three separate reports published in 2013, 2014, and 2015, local politicians and police alike opted to cover up the rapes partly out of fear that bringing the perpetrators to justice would be seen as “racist.”

Blizzard and winter storm conditions blasted the Midwest early Sunday, as a massive weather system began tracking eastward across the United States, with authorities warning of some of the heaviest snowfalls in a decade and severe impact on transport.

Snowfalls of 15 inches (38 centimeters) or more in some areas “will make travel extremely hazardous, with impassable roads,” the National Weather Service (NWS) said in an update early Sunday.

That, combined with accumulations of up to a half-inch of ice in some areas — as well as widespread tree damage from powerful wind gusts — could lead to “prolonged power outages.”

The first major storm of 2025 is already disrupting travel. Video posted by the Weather Channel showed cars skidding off ice-coated highways in Kansas and tractor trailers jack-knifing dangerously.

The NWS issued blizzard warnings in Kansas and Missouri, with a belt of winter storm and ice storm warnings stretching all the way to the US capital on the East Coast, putting an unusually broad 1,500-mile (2,400-kilometer) swath under immediate threat. American Airlines posted a travel advisory covering 46 airports from Kansas to New Jersey

A mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow began hitting Kansas early Sunday morning. Storm chaser Brian Emfinger said on X that roads around Kansas City were “a skating rink.”

But the latest forecast from the NWS suggested the worst was yet to come, with “blizzard conditions” and winds up to 50 mph (80 kmh) expected in the state.

‘We cannot delay’ As the storm accumulates through Monday, “the snow will significantly reduce visibilities,” the NWS said.

A band of eight to 14 inches of snow is expected to be dumped from northeast Missouri through the Central Appalachians, it said.

Areas around Washington could see up to 10 inches overnight Sunday into Monday, making “hazardous travel and closings” likely, the Washington Post reported.

That could complicate the task of US lawmakers, who by constitutional mandate must meet on Capitol Hill on January 6 to certify the winner of last year’s presidential election.

“Whether we’re in a blizzard or not,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said on Fox News Sunday, “we cannot delay that certification… I hope we have full attendance.”

A joint session is to convene at 1:00 pm (1800 GMT).

Travel disruptions Nationwide, nearly 70 million people are under some sort of weather alert, according to broadcaster CNN.

With the jet stream diving southward, temperatures are expected to plunge, in some places to below zero degrees Fahrenheit (-18 degrees Celsius), while strong wind gusts compound the dangers.

The mercury could sink tens of degrees below seasonal norms down to the US Gulf Coast. Before then, severe thunderstorms are expected across the lower Mississippi Valley, the NWS forecast.

Another major concern is freezing rain and sleet. A thick coating of ice could make travel hazardous, bring down trees and topple electricity lines.

The NWS predicted up to 0.5 inches of freezing rain over parts of the Middle Mississippi/Ohio Valley, and warned that “long-lasting power outages” could leave millions of customers without power from Kansas to the central Appalachian Mountains.

Conditions could prove especially perilous in Appalachia, where a deadly hurricane in late September devastated communities and ravaged multiple southeastern states including Kentucky.

The new storm “will likely cause significant disruption and dangerous conditions on our roads and could cause significant power outages just 24 hours or so before it’s going to get really cold in Kentucky,” Governor Andy Beshear told an emergency meeting.

The governors of Kentucky, Missouri and Virginia have declared a state of emergency in their states, and have taken to social media to warn residents to stay at home.

The CEO of US Steel Corporation, David Burritt, has accused outgoing US President Joe Biden of undermining the country’s economic standing through a “politically corrupt” decision to block the planned acquisition of the steelmaker by Japan’s Nippon Steel.

The planned takeover, which was agreed to back in December 2023, would have entailed the Japanese company shelling out around $14.1 billion and assuming around $800 million in debt.

In a statement on Friday, Burritt charged that “President Biden’s action today is shameful and corrupt.” The US Steel CEO claimed that the White House’s spurning of the Japanese company’s overtures had insulted a “vital economic and national security ally” and “put American competitiveness at risk.” According to Burritt, the fact that the merger has fallen through plays into the hands of Chinese steel giants.

“Biden did it all while refusing to even meet with us to learn the facts,” the US Steel boss fumed, insisting that his company intends to “fight President Biden’s political corruption.”

In a separate joint statement also on Friday, the US Steel Corporation and Nippon Steel Corporation argued that the US president’s move represents a “clear violation of due process and the law governing” the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

“The process was manipulated to advance President Biden’s political agenda,” the two companies wrote. They further alleged that the White House had failed to “present any credible evidence of a national security issue, making clear that this was a political decision.”

Both Nippon Steel and US Steel believe the merger would have revitalized the American steelmaking industry and helped it compete more effectively against Chinese rivals.

Earlier in the day, the White House published Biden’s order, in which he wrote that “there is credible evidence that leads me to believe that (1) Nippon Steel Corporation… through the proposed acquisition by the Purchasers of United States Steel Corporation… might take action that threatens to impair the national security of the United States.”

The outgoing president stipulated that the proposed transaction “is prohibited, and any substantially similar transaction between the Purchasers and U.S. Steel… is also prohibited.”

When the merger was originally agreed to in December 2023, it drew criticism from both Democratic and Republican lawmakers, including Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.

Washington supplied “a lot of weapons” to Ukraine in the months before the hostilities between Moscow and Kiev began in February 2022, outgoing US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has admitted.

The top diplomat made the remarks while speaking on the New York Times’ ‘The Interview’ podcast, aired on Saturday. The US saw the conflict between Russia and Ukraine “coming” and wanted to get Kiev “prepared” for it, according to Blinken.

“Starting in September and then again in December, we quietly got a lot of weapons to Ukraine to make sure that they had in hand what they needed to defend themselves – things like Stingers, Javelins that they could use,” he said.

The weaponry has proven “instrumental” in “preventing Russia from taking Kiev,” as well as “rolling over the country, erasing it from the map,” Blinken asserted.

The intentions ascribed to Moscow by the top US diplomat, however, sharply contrast with the goals of the military operation repeatedly articulated by Russia’s leadership. The original aims included demilitarization and denazification of the country, as well as Kiev accepting a neutral status and abandoning its aspirations to join NATO.

Over time, the list was somewhat expanded in the wake of the incorporation of the four formerly Ukrainian regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye, as well as the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, into Russia. Moscow has repeatedly said any potential negotiations with Kiev would require it to accept the “realities on the ground,” as well as to withdraw troops from the new Russian territories.

Blinken’s remarks received a poor reception in Moscow. Senior Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik suggested the revelations somewhat undermined the usual narrative about the supposedly “unprovoked Russian aggression.”

“Pumping [Ukraine] with weapons for an attack on Donbass and Russia, isn’t that a pretext for the special military operation?” Miroshnik said in a Telegram post.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — The new year will bring a pair of lunar eclipses, but don’t expect any sun-disappearing acts like the one that mesmerized North America last spring.

While the world will have to wait until 2026 for the next total solar eclipse, the cosmos promises plenty of other wow moments in 2025. It’s kicking off the year with a six-planet parade in January that will be visible for weeks. Little Mercury will join the crowd for a seven-planet lineup in February.

Five planets already are scattered across the sky — all but Mars and Mercury — though binoculars or telescopes are needed to spot some of them just after sunset.

“People should go out and see them sometime during the next many weeks. I certainly will,” said the Planetary Society’s chief scientist Bruce Betts.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s ahead:

ECLIPSES

The moon will vanish for more than an hour over North and South America on March 14, followed two weeks later by a partial solar eclipse visible from Maine, eastern Canada, Greenland, Europe, Siberia and northwestern Africa.

The cosmic double-header will repeat in September with an even longer total lunar eclipse over Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, and a partial solar eclipse two weeks later near the bottom of the world.

SUPERMOONS

Three supermoons are on tap this year in October, November and December.

The full moon will look particularly big and bright those three months as it orbits closer to Earth than usual.

November’s supermoon will come closest, passing within 221,817 miles (356,980 kilometers). Last year featured four supermoons, wrapping up in November.

PLANET PARADE

Six of our seven neighboring planets will line up in the sky to form a long arc around mid-January. All but Neptune and Uranus should be visible with the naked eye just after sunset, weather permitting.

The parade will continue for weeks, with some of the planets occasionally snuggling up. Mercury will make a cameo appearance by the end of February. The planets will gradually exit, one by one, through spring.

NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN LIGHTS

The sun burped big time last year, painting the sky with gorgeous auroras in unexpected places.

Space weather forecasters anticipate more geomagnetic storms that could yield even more northern and southern lights.

That’s because the sun has reached its solar maximum during its current 11-year cycle that could continue through this year. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Shawn Dahl urges everyone to stay on top of space weather news, so as not to miss any pop-up, razzle-dazzle shows.

METEOR SHOWERS

The Perseids and Geminids are perennial crowd-pleasers, peaking in August and December, respectively. But don’t count out the smaller, less dramatic meteor showers like the Lyrids in April, the Orionids in October and the Leonids in November.

The darker the locale and dimmer the moon, the better it will be for viewing. Meteor showers are generally named for the constellation in which they appear to originate. They occur whenever Earth plows through streams of debris left behind by comets and sometimes asteroids.

Germany should respond to the rising energy prices caused by Ukraine's halting of Russian gas transit by repairing and reactivating the Nord Stream pipelines, leftist German MP Sevim Dagdelen has said.

Ukraine refused to extend its transit contract with Russia’s Gazprom beyond the end of 2024, effectively cutting off the flow of natural gas to some EU countries as of Wednesday. Under the old contract, Ukraine moved gas through its own pipeline network and into Moldova, Romania, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia, and then on to Austria and Italy.

Ukraine’s decision caused EU gas prices to spike to €50 per megawatt hour, a figure unseen since October 2023.

"Ukraine drives the energy price up further by stopping the transit of Russian gas in Europe,” Dagdelen wrote on X on Thursday, complaining that “the German government and the EU are happily watching the destruction of European industry due to high energy prices.”

Energy costs soared in Germany after the government renounced Russian oil and gas imports in 2022. Whereas the country once relied on Russia for around 55% of its natural gas supply, it has struggled to make up the shortfall, and its leading manufacturers – including Volkswagen, Bosch, and BASF – have all announced layoffs and plant closures.

Prior to the start of the Ukraine conflict, Germany received gas from Russia via the Nord Stream 1 pipelines, while Nord Stream 2 was due to come online in 2022. Berlin revoked the certification for Nord Stream 2 several days before Russia’s military operation in Ukraine began, and both sets of lines were destroyed in an act of sabotage in September of that year.

While German investigators have reportedly settled on the theory that the pipelines were destroyed by Ukrainian saboteurs, American journalist Seymour Hersh maintains that they were blown up by the CIA and US Navy. The head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, has blamed “professional saboteurs from the Anglo-American special services,” referring to the US and UK.

In her post, Dagdelen called for the pipelines to “finally be put into operation,” and for the German government to “stop giving money to Kiev!”

Dagdelen is a member of the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW), a leftist political faction that supports rapprochement with Russia and shares the right-wing Alternative for Germany’s (AfD) anti-immigration stance. The party’s leader, Sahra Wagenknecht, recently blamed the Ukraine conflict on the failure of the US to acknowledge Russia’s “red lines.”

Back in September, Wagenknecht declared that “if Ukraine is responsible for the terrorist act against the German energy supply, the arms deliveries must end immediately and the question of compensation must be put on the table.”

Dagdelen is not the first German MP to demand that Nord Stream be reopened. In September, AfD co-leader Tino Chrupalla called the undersea pipes “a lifeline of German industry,” and declared that “Nord Stream must be repaired, opened, and secured.”

Illegal aliens, tourists, and foreign visa workers delivered nearly 400,000 children across the United States in 2024 — exceeding the population of New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that almost 400,000 “anchor babies,” the term used to describe the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens and other foreign nationals with no ties to the country, are delivered across all 50 states each year.

Anchor babies are rewarded with birthright American citizenship despite their parents having no legitimate ties to the U.S., many having only recently arrived. Years later, when the child is considered an adult, they can sponsor their parents and foreign relatives for green cards — anchoring their family in the U.S. for generations.

In 2024, close to 300,000 anchor babies are estimated to have been delivered to illegal alien parents. In addition, about 72,000 anchor babies were estimated to have been delivered to foreign tourists, foreign visa workers, and foreign students.

President-Elect Donald Trump has promised to end birthright citizenship in his second term. Recent polling finds that a plurality of Americans, including 48 percent of whites and 42 percent of Hispanics, support Trump’s plan to end birthright citizenship.

“On day one of my new term in office, I will sign an executive order making clear to federal agencies that under the correct interpretation of the law going forward the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic U.S. citizenship,” Trump said in 2023.

The U.S. Supreme Court has never explicitly ruled that the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens must be granted birthright citizenship, and many legal scholars dispute the idea.

Many leading conservative scholars argue the Citizenship Clause of the 14th Amendment does not provide mandatory birthright citizenship to the U.S.-born children of illegal aliens or noncitizens, because these children are not subject to United States jurisdiction as that language was understood when the 14th Amendment was ratified.

The United States and Canada are among only a handful of developed nations, mostly in North and South America, that have a birthright citizenship policy for anyone, regardless of immigration status, born within its physical borders.

Australia, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, New Zealand, and Spain, among other countries, reserve birthright citizenship for children born to at least one citizen parent.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s last political act will be to preside over Trump’s certification, her powers limited to a ceremonial role by a reform that was passed in 2022 to “protect democracy.”

Oh, the irony. Had Harris won the election, January 6 would have been observed as a solemn anniversary of the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War,” as President Joe Biden once erroneously called it.

Democrats would have used the certification of the Electoral College vote to cast 2024 as the ultimate repudiation of Trump, and as a confirmation that Democrats had, in fact, saved democracy from a would-be fascist dictator, a new Adolf Hitler.

Instead, Democrats must now model the “peaceful transition of power” that they once insisted had been threatened by Trump’s 2021 rally against what many Americans believed was a stolen election. Democrats will be forced Monday to repudiate, in deed if not in word, their claim that Trump was too dangerous to be allowed near the Oval Office ever again.

There will be angry speeches, and probably a few tears, but in the end they will certify him as president-elect.

There will be a few exceptions. Some Democrats will, no doubt, object to the certification, as they have done after every presidential election that Republicans have won since 2000. The chairman and several members of the January 6 Committee themselves had tried to stop Republican presidents from taking office by objecting to the certification of the vote — efforts that media fact-checkers dismissed as “relatively common,” at least when Democrats tried to do it.

There may be some who try a more ambitious idea, first floated in February 2024 by January 6 Committee member and former House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), of having Congress declare Trump ineligible to hold public office based on a misreading of Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment, barring insurrectionists.

Some Democrats have publicly advocated for this strategy in recent weeks. Who knows? We may even see a vote on it.

But these efforts will fail, as would any effort to interrupt the proceedings with some kind of march or riot.

Unlike then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who admitted privately that she had not done enough to secure the Capitol on that fateful day in 2021, Republicans will make sure the Capitol is protected. (Notably, Pelosi was never called to testify by the January 6 Committee, nor was her daughter’s footage of the day subpoenaed as crucial evidence.)

The simple truth about January 6, 2021, is that it was a disaster brought about by the mistrust between the parties — one emphasized a year before, when Pelosi tore up Trump’s State of the Union address in front of the whole nation. Trump’s strategy of forcing the Electoral College vote back to the states was reckless, even if it was grounded in legal and constitutional arguments; his effort to pressure the straitlaced Vice President Mike Pence was doomed to fail.

Yet it was not an “insurrection”; the plurality of participants believed they were saving democracy, not overturning it.

Ultimately, Democrats destroyed their own moral case by persecuting Trump and his supporters. The final verdict was delivered by the voters, who decided Trump was the expression, not the enemy, of democracy.

The Capitol riot will be remembered by history as a mistake, but January 6 will just be a normal day.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has rejected the nearly $15 billion proposed deal for Nippon Steel of Japan to purchase Pittsburgh-based U.S. Steel — affirming his vow in March to block the acquisition.

“We need major U.S. companies representing the major share of US steelmaking capacity to keep leading the fight on behalf of America’s national interests,” Biden said in a Friday morning statement.

His decision comes after the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, known as CFIUS, failed to reach consensus on the possible national security risks of the deal last month, and sent a long-awaited report on the merger to Biden who had 15 days to reach a final decision.

The committee, chaired by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and made up of other Cabinet members, can recommend that the president block a transaction, and federal law gives the president that power.

A U.S. official familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press last month that some federal agencies represented on the panel were skeptical that allowing a Japanese company to buy an American-owned steelmaker would create national security risks.

The decision, which comes just weeks before the Democratic president is set to leave office, could potentially damage relations between the U.S. and Japan, which is America’s biggest ally in Asia. Japan is also the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt.

Biden previously came out against the deal last March — and was backed by the United Steelworkers, concerned over whether the company would honor existing labor agreements or slash jobs as well as the firm’s financial transparency.

“It is important that we maintain strong American steel companies powered by American steel workers,” Biden said in a March statement, while he was still seeking reelection to the presidency before dropping out of the race. “U.S. Steel has been an iconic American steel company for more than a century, and it is vital for it to remain an American steel company that is domestically owned and operated.”

President-elect Donald Trump has also opposed the acquisition and vowed in December on his Truth Social platform to block the deal and to use tax incentives and tariffs to grow the company. Steelworkers’ union President David McCall said last month that the union welcomed Trump’s opposition to the sale and said “it’s time for this deal to be rejected so we can all focus on the future.”

Nippon Steel announced in December that it planned to buy the Pennsylvania steel producer for $14.1 billion in cash — and despite committing to keep the U.S. Steel name and Pittsburgh headquarters — its proposal raised concerns about what the transaction could mean for unionized workers, supply chains and U.S. national security.

Still, the deal had many supporters, including lawmakers and business groups like the U.S. Chamber. Mike Pompeo, who served as Trump’s first secretary of state called a potential rejection of the deal “shortsighted” in the Wall Street Journal.

“The deal would strengthen U.S. Steel’s current operations and production capacity, benefit its workers and their communities, and enhance the competitiveness of the American steel industry,” he wrote in December.

Schiff is no stranger to judiciary duties. He was a member of the Judiciary Committee during his time in the House of Representatives, and he also chaired the California Senate Judiciary Committee while serving in the state Legislature. Feinstein also served on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.

Schiff’s past interest in judicial affairs also includes his role in leading the first impeachment of President Donald Trump in 2019-20 — a period in which he irritated Republican Senators by implying that they would be judged harshly by history for voting to acquit.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) engineered Schiff’s early appointment last month to ensure that Schiff had a modicum of seniority when the new Senate took office on January 3, 2025.

US law enforcement agencies fear the deadly New Year’s attack in New Orleans could trigger a copycat incident, according to a joint intelligence bulletin issued by the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, ABC has reported.

On January 1, during New Year’s celebrations, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old US Army veteran from Texas, drove a rented Ford F-150 pickup truck into a crowd, resulting in 14 fatalities and injuring around 35 others. After crashing the vehicle, Jabbar exited and engaged in a shootout with police, during which he was fatally shot. An Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) flag was found attached to the truck. Also, in a video made before the attack, Jabbar said he had joined ISIS.

According to ABC, the intelligence bulletin stresses that ISIS has been promoting vehicle ramming attacks since 2014, and has intensified calls for low-tech, mass casualty assaults in recent months, particularly in light of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The bulletin reportedly provides law enforcement with guidance on recognizing signs of potential attacks, including pre-operational surveillance and the use of fraudulent documents or credit to rent vehicles. While investigators have connected Jabbar to IS-inspired motives, there is currently no evidence of the involvement of additional co-conspirators.

The investigation into the January 1 attack reportedly revealed bomb-making materials at a residence linked to Jabbar in Houston. The authorities have since indicated that they do not believe any other suspects were involved.

The most notorious IS ramming attack took place in 2016 in the French city of Nice. A Tunisian-born man drove a truck into a crowd celebrating Bastille Day, killing 86 and injuring 458.

Lat year, a 50-year-old Saudi man drove his car through a crowd at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, leaving five people dead, including one child, and over 200 injured. German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser later said there are signs that the suspect in the deadly attack is mentally ill.

Pfizer’s mRNA Covid-19 vaccines contain residual DNA levels exceeding regulatory safety limits, according to a peer-reviewed study published this week in the Journal of High School Science.

The research was conducted by student scientists at the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) White Oak Campus lab in Maryland.

Residual DNA refers to small pieces of genetic material that may remain in vaccines or medicines after manufacturing. These fragments come from the cells or processes used to make the products.

World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines state that a single vaccine dose should not contain more than 10 nanograms of residual DNA. The study, however, found levels in Pfizer’s vaccines exceeding this limit by six to 470 times.

Researchers analyzed vaccines obtained from BEI Resources, a supplier linked to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. They used NanoDrop and Qubit methods to measure DNA levels. Both methods showed contamination above acceptable thresholds. Residual DNA was found in six vials from two different vaccine lots.

While the study stated that health risks posed by the DNA fragments are “currently unknown,” researchers warned that, in theory, they could integrate into human DNA and increase the risk of gene mutations. They also raised concerns that the fragments may contain oncogenes, which could lead to cancer. The authors recommended further testing to assess the potential risks.

The FDA has not yet commented on the findings. While reports of DNA contamination in Covid-19 vaccines have been circulating for years, US regulatory authorities have repeatedly brushed them off, stating that they pose no health risks.

Kevin McKernan, founder of Medicinal Genomics, described the findings as a “bombshell,” and warned that DNA fragments might overstimulate the immune system, potentially “fueling cancer growth.”

“Repeated exposure to foreign DNA through Covid-19 boosters may amplify this risk over time, creating conditions conducive to cancer development,” McKernan said in an interview with Maryanne Demasi, an Australia-based investigative journalist who first drew public attention to the study.

Nikolai Petrovsky, professor of immunology and head of Vaxine, an Australian biotechnology company, said the findings were a “smoking gun” and needed urgent attention from regulators. Petrovsky also accused the FDA of withholding information from the public, saying that the study “clearly shows the FDA was aware of these data,” given that it was conducted in its own lab under the supervision of its own scientists.

Democrat social media influencers are gloating over the Tesla Cybertruck explosion at the Las Vegas Trump International Hotel that killed one and injured seven others.

The explosion, which took place on the morning of New Year’s Day in the valet area of the president-elect’s hotel, claimed the life of the driver, identified as 37-year-old active duty Army servicemember Matthew Livelsberger who served in the Green Berets.

The electric vehicle exploded just 15 seconds after Livelsberger pulled up in front of the hotel’s entrance, the Daily Mail reported.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill said the injuries sustained by seven bystanders were “minor,” and ABC News confirmed that the incident is being investigated as a “possible act of terror.”

Though there has been no established connection between Livelsberger and the New Orleans New Year’s Eve truck attacker Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the Daily Mail reports that Jabbar, an Army veteran, reportedly served at one time at Fort Bragg, the same military base where the Cybertruck driver once served. It is not confirmed if they knew each other.

The Occupy Democrats page, which has over 10 million followers, also posted a meme calling the explosion a “metaphor” for the new year:

Abortion was the leading cause of death globally in 2024, with a record 45 million unborn babies killed in the womb, according to data provided by Worldometer.

As of noon on December 31, 2024, there were 45.1 million abortions performed in the course of the year, Worldometer revealed, while 8.2 million people died from cancer, 5 million from smoking, 1.7 million of HIV/AIDS, 1.35 million from traffic fatalities, and 1.1 million from suicide.

Totaling all the deaths in the world from causes other than abortion reveals a figure of 62.5 million, meaning that abortions accounted for just over 42 percent of all human deaths in 2024.

Globally, there were more deaths from abortion in 2024 than all deaths from cancer, malaria, HIV/AIDS, smoking, alcohol, and traffic accidents combined, according to Worldometer statistics.

Clenard Childress, Jr. has noted that 52 percent of all African American pregnancies end in abortion and that whereas abortion is the most common operation performed on women, it is also “the least regulated medical procedure” and is often “completely ignored by health regulation enforcement.”

Statistics reveal that nearly 1,800 unborn black babies are aborted every day, proportionately more than any other race, Rev. Childress observed.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), black women have the highest abortion rate of any demographic (24.4 abortions per 1,000 women in the latest year for which there are data), whereas white women have the lowest abortion rate (5.7 abortions per 1,000 women), which means that black babies are more than four times as likely to be aborted as their white counterparts.

Blacks also have the highest abortion ratio (429 abortions per 1,000 live births), as compared with whites (106 abortions per 1,000 live births), the CDC revealed.

Among white women, there are 106 abortions for every 1000 live births; among blacks, there are 429 abortions for every 1000 births. This means that black babies are aborted at four times the rate of whites. It also means that more than four in ten black babies are aborted.

An astonishing 39.5 percent of all U.S. abortions were performed on black babies, the CDC noted, despite the fact that blacks make up a mere 12.4 percent of the overall population. In fact, the percentage of blacks in the U.S. population is dropping year by year, primarily because of the exaggerated abortion rate among blacks.

Conversely, whites, who make up 61.6 percent of America’s population, account for only 31.9 percent of all U.S. abortions.

Whatever the intent of abortion practitioners, by functional standards, abortion is a racist institution in the United States, with black children aborted far more often than white children.

Authorities have begun clearing approximately 377 tons of toxic waste from the site of a gas tragedy in Bhopal, central India, four decades after a gas explosion at a US-owned company’s plant killed over 25,000 people and affected the health of another 150,000.

On Wednesday, hazardous material was loaded into 12 sealed containers for transport to the Pithampur industrial area, located 250 kilometers from Bhopal, according to news agency PTI.

Last month, the Madhya Pradesh High Court criticized authorities for failing to clear the toxic waste from the Union Carbide factory despite Supreme Court directives. The court set a four-week deadline for completion of the removal, remarking that even 40 years after the tragedy, the authorities remained in a “state of inertia.” The bench also warned the government of contempt proceedings if its orders were not implemented.

Swatantra Kumar Singh, Director of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department, told media outlets that a green corridor has been created for the uninterrupted journey of trucks to Pithampur. Singh stated that if all conditions are deemed “satisfactory,” the toxic waste will be incinerated within three months; otherwise, the process could take up to nine months. Initially, a portion of the waste will be incinerated in Pithampur, and the resulting ash will be analyzed to ensure it contains no harmful substances. To prevent air pollution, the incinerator’s smoke will pass through advanced four-layer filters, Singh said, according to PTI. Once confirmed that the ash is free of toxic elements, it will be securely sealed using a two-layer membrane and buried to prevent any contact with soil or water.

The movement of hazardous materials has sparked protests from locals. On December 29, a large group of Pithampur activists gathered to oppose the disposal of Union Carbide waste in their city, which has a population of 175,000.

The Bhopal tragedy occurred on the night of December 3, 1984, and is considered one of the worst such disasters in history. Approximately 40 tons of highly toxic methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas leaked from a pesticide factory owned by Union Carbide India Limited, a subsidiary of US-based Union Carbide Corporation, now part of Dow Chemicals. The gas leak resulted in over 5,295 deaths, according to the central government, while various non-governmental organizations claim that more than 20,000 people have died from gas-related illnesses since then.

As reported previously by RT, the magnitude of the tragedy is still evident today, as over 150,000 people remain chronically ill decades after the disaster. Most suffer from chronic diseases, with high rates of neurological, immunological, pulmonary, and kidney problems. Additionally, their risk of developing cancer is eight to ten times higher than average. Despite the establishment of specialized healthcare for affected individuals, they continue to face difficulties accessing necessary treatment.

European capitals including Paris and Berlin are deploying thousands of extra police officers, emergency vehicles, and even the armed forces for New Year’s Eve, given years of violence including attacks on firemen rushing to extinguish deliberately set blazes in “sensitive” areas to the infamous 2016 mass sex attacks.

A “state of emergency” will be preemptively declared in Berlin at 1900 local time (1300 EST) by the fire brigade tonight, as they face their busiest night of the year. The brigade, which has been reinforced with trained volunteer brigade members to 1,544 officers on duty tonight and further backed up by the German Civil Defence establishment (THW) and civilian charity volunteers expects to put out as many fires in one night as it would normally in two months.

In addition, 4,000 police officers are being deployed in the German capital tonight, tasked in part with escorting those firemen and paramedics into what the Die Welt newspaper euphemistically calls “areas that are considered sensitive”. Firemen were assaulted by the public 30 times in the city on New Year’s Eve 2023.

The Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) cites the remarks of Benjamin Jendro, a spokesman for the Berlin police union who said: “There are fires in many places, vehicles are being set on fire, and conflicts are escalating… Our colleagues start the new year with injuries every year”.

News magazine Stern states some military personnel are also being deployed in Berlin.

Germany is not the only European state afflicted by major New Year’s Eve violence. In France, it has been ‘tradition’ for decades now for “youths” in multicultural suburbs to burn cars — over a thousand a night, some years — on New Year’s Eve. Capital Paris is deploying 10,000 officers tonight for city centre and inner suburbs alike.

Le Figaro notes a police spokesman who states this massive deployment is “to guarantee the safety of people and property, and to prevent disturbances to public order, in a context of a still high terrorist threat”. Large parts of central Paris will be totally prohibited to motor traffic, with as many as one million revelers expected.

In Stockholm, Sweden, a police spokesman said he was anticipating “a lot of trouble” overnight and that extra resources were deployed to meet it. Brussels police, meanwhile, compared the operation planned for tonight to the level of security rolled out for a European Union or NATO summit, with “seriously scaled up” numbers of officers deployed.

And these major preparations are not limited to capital cities, with many regional cities forced to take warlike precautions against New Year’s Eve violence. In Hamburg, Germany, many additional emergency vehicles including trucks on loan from the armed forces are ready, with a large police presence backed up by drones will launch a stop-and-search operation looking for fireworks — banned in the city centre this year — and weapons with “targeted” checks.

In the infamous city of the 2016 mass migrant sex attacks against German women and girls trying to celebrate New Year’s Eve in the city centre, hundreds of extra officers are on patrol and enhanced protections are in place for the city synagogue given “ongoing tensions in the Middle East”.

The NZZ states, in aggregate, “German cities are preparing for riots”. In Belgian cities, some known troublemaker “youths” are being placed under preventative house arrest, and curfews are in force.

Breitbart News has long reported on the now long-term issues experienced by European cities with New Year’s Eve violence, and the often unspoken subtext that this violence is authored by young people from migrant communities. Most infamous of all these incidents is the 2015-2016 Cologne sex attacks, in which police eventually recorded over 1,000 victims in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

After successfully cracking down on crime in the following year’s celebrations, Cologne police were then criticised for using racial profiling.

On New Year’s Eve 2022-23 Germany saw mass migrant riots in Berlin leading to widespread fire damage and injuries. The rioting became a major media story after the nation’s publishers were accused of using carefully selected language to try and play down the perpetrators of the violence.

Researchers at Leiden University Medical Center, backed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, have developed a new method of delivering malaria vaccines using genetically modified mosquitoes as “flying vaccinators.”

The Blaze reports that in a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, scientists have demonstrated the effectiveness of using mosquitoes as “flying syringes” to vaccinate humans against malaria. The research, conducted at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in the Netherlands with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, represents a new and potentially worrying advancement in vaccine technology.

The study involved genetically modifying malaria parasites to stop developing after a certain period of time in the human body. The modified parasites, named GA1 and GA2, were designed to prime the immune system without causing a full-blown malaria infection. Researchers then infected mosquitoes with these engineered parasites and allowed them to bite human test subjects in a controlled setting.

In the trial, 43 adults between the ages of 19 and 35 with no prior history of malaria infection were divided into three groups. The first group received 50 bites from mosquitoes infected with the GA2 parasite, the second group received 50 bites from mosquitoes infected with the GA1 parasite, and the third group, serving as a placebo, received 50 bites from uninfected mosquitoes. The participants underwent three vaccination sessions at 28-day intervals.

Three weeks after the final vaccination session, the human test subjects were exposed to malaria infection through bites from infected mosquitoes. The results showed that eight out of nine participants in the GA2 group were effectively protected against malaria, while only one out of eight in the GA1 group and none in the placebo group received protection.

The concept of using mosquitoes as “flying vaccinators” has been explored by scientists for years. In 2010, Japanese researcher Shigeto Yoshida modified mosquito saliva to deliver leishmania vaccines to mice, noting that vaccination by insect could be painless and cost-effective. However, concerns about informed consent and medical safety have hindered the development of this approach. That doesn’t appear to be a concern for Bill Gates and the professors he is funding today.

“Ultimately, God is good,” In-N-Out President and CEO Lynsi Snyder said during an interview with PragerU’s Marissa Streit, detailing how she has continued to lean on Him after experiencing close family loss, leading to her inheritance of the company at the young age of 17.

Snyder sat down with PragerU CEO Marissa Streit and discussed her company and the challenges that come with it, including the tragedies that led her to be in the position she is in and how her reliance on God has carried her through.

Streit asked Snyder what she says to critics who dismiss her achievements and position because she inherited the business. “And my initial reaction was, I can’t imagine at 17 how hard it was to inherit,” Streit added.

“For me, defending myself and trying to get into that, I just had to lay it down a long time ago. And you know, being a Christian and being — accepting that persecution, it’s like I’ve doubled down on people judging me,” Snyder, now 42, said, noting that God’s word says that followers of Jesus can expect this.

“I mean, it says in the Good Book, that as soon as you align yourself with Jesus, and, you know, go by God’s word, it’s like you’re making enemies, you know. And so there’s going to be persecution and I know that if that’s already part of the plan and to be expected, then people just judging me and thinking, you know, she doesn’t really do anything. She’s just a trust fund baby, or whatever they say, you know,” she said, explaining that she finds peace because she knows that God knows the truth, the people in the company know, and “hopefully” the customer base knows “because they see that we’ve held true.”

“You know, we’re still doing the same thing. We’re not changing and doing what everyone else is doing, and we’re not compromising our product. At the end of the day, I know that God knows the truth, and the people that that love me and know me know the truth, and so I just have to let the rest go,” she said, before walking through what a week looks for her and placing an emphasis on reliance on God to get through it.

“My calendar, I’ve shown a few people, and they get, they say they get anxiety just looking at it. But I do feel like God’s given me a high capacity to deal with a lot of stuff,” she said, detailing many meetings with different vice presidents or department heads. … or work in the merchandise department, as she loves the creative outlet. But she said her father’s death “pushed me right into, you know, doing this, the operations.”

“I mean, just really being the guardian and continuing my family’s legacy. Because I was going to pursue other things, but at the end of the day, all the things I was passionate about, I’m able to do in some way here at In-N-Out or through ministry,” Snyder continued.

Snyder, who oversees over 400 restaurants, credits God all the way through for her success, even for setting up a moment for her father and uncle to reconcile before her uncle’s passing.

“It just has to come from God,” she said of forgiveness. “…I see that people that have unforgiveness have poison inside of them, and I think it affects your health. I mean, I really think it affects your health. And because I’ve had so much loss, I’m always pushing people to just forgive,” she said.

“Like, hey, you know, you’re — think there’s a saying that you’re drinking the poison and expecting it to hurt them, you know, but really it’s hurting you, yeah, and — but I do believe that some of the grace and forgiveness I can remember pretty young where I just loved my dad so much, and I saw him struggle, and God just gave me a grace for him, you know. And I saw the way he had that for others, too. And I think that just kind of went with me,” she added.

She also briefly spoke about another thing that makes her company so unique: The Bible verses on the meals.

“That came from my uncle. Yeah, it was actually, you know, not too many years before he passed away, he became a Christian, that he started doing that, and he put them on cups, the packages, and we’ve since added to more,” she said, noting that she has added a few herself.

“The fry boat actually was very personal, and I wanted it to encourage others, and that’s the one about falling and getting back up in Proverbs. And so, you know, the one on the water cup, I don’t want to give it away. I want people to look it up. But the water cup one actually ties to the water,” she continued.

Ultimately, Snyder’s theme throughout the interview is that God is faithful, God is good, and He has carried her through all the loss to where she is now.

“God knew that when I lost my family members that started this company and that were so special to me, I had such strong bonds with all of them — my grandpa, I didn’t meet — but my grandma, my uncle, my dad, you know, were just so, so close to me. In losing them, you can’t replace them. But God did know that I was gaining a giant family, that we were all going the same direction, doing something and trying to make the world a better place,” she said.

When asked what she would tell her 20-something-year-old self, Snyder — now a billionaire — said, “Ultimately, God is good.”

“He has blessed me. I feel like she would recognize that God brought her through a lot of stuff, and she came out the other side, still in one piece, and I think ultimately it just makes me love Him more,” she added.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser has said there are signs that the suspect in a deadly car-ramming at Magdeburg Christmas market is mentally ill. The December 20 incident left five people dead, including a child, and over 200 injured.

Faeser told reporters after a closed-door parliamentary committee meeting on Monday that no clear motive had been established for the attack. However, she noted, there were “striking signs of a pathological psyche.”

“The perpetrator does not fit into any previous categorization,” Faeser said, emphasizing the need to learn from the event, particularly in tracking potential suspects who are “psychologically disturbed” or driven by “confused conspiracy theories.” She added that the suspect’s social media presence was extensive, with “tens of thousands of tweets” that have yet to be fully examined.

Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, a 50-year-old Saudi psychiatrist, was arrested at the scene after he rammed a car through a crowd. According to German media reports citing unnamed security sources, Abdulmohsen had a history of mental illness and had tested positive for drug use on the night of the attack. A journalist who interviewed Abdulmohsen several years ago described him as having a “twisted mind.”

“I got the feeling that he’s a twisted mind, if you will. I wouldn’t say he is crazy, but he’s inconsistent in his discussions and debates,” Mustafa Fetouri, a reporter and spokesperson for the Association for the Victims of NATO’s Intervention in Libya, told RT. According to Fetouri, it is unlikely that al-Abdulmohsen carried out the attack due to any religious beliefs because “he has no religion” and is “against all forms of religion, including Christianity and Judaism.”

Abdulmohsen has been living in Germany since 2006 and was granted refugee status in 2016. He has a history of legal issues, including a conviction for “disturbance of public peace by threatening crimes” in 2013, which resulted in a fine but did not affect his asylum request. Saudi Arabia had reportedly warned German authorities about Abdulmohsen and requested his extradition, but those warnings were not acted upon.

Lawmakers from various parties have criticized the government’s handling of the case following Monday’s hearing. Konstantin Kuhle of the Free Democrats (FDP) stated that while federal and state authorities were aware of the suspect, they failed to connect all the dots. Gottfried Curio of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) was more critical, claiming that “everything was foreseeable” and calling for deportations instead of naturalizations.

The attack has sparked intense debate about security and immigration policies in Germany, particularly ahead of the February election. Last week, Chancellor Olaf Scholz vowed to “examine very carefully whether there were any failings on the part of the authorities” and whether any clues were missed.
