Incoming California Senator Rep. Adam Schiff (D) demanded Sunday that the Senate reject the nomination of Kash Patel to be director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), continuing a long personal vendetta against Patel.
Adam Schiff @RepAdamSchiff
Kash Patel has publicly called for arresting members of the media and government officials.
And he is willing to do whatever Trump asks. Illegal, unethical or otherwise.
More suited as internet troll than FBI Director, the Senate must reject him. 4:57 PM · Dec 1, 2024
Schiff has been trying to destroy Patel ever since 2017, when Patel helped expose the fact that members of the outgoing Obama administration abused their power to “unmask” the names of Americans caught on foreign wiretaps, a practice that was thought to have led to the unjust firing and prosecution of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn over false allegations of collusion with Russia.
Schiff, then the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, wrote a memorandum in which he attempted, unsuccessfully, to counter the claims of the Republican majority that the FBI’s surveillance of Carter Page, an aide to then-candidate Donald Trump, was justified.
Schiff’s claims were later debunked by a report by the Department of Justice Inspector General, which validated Republican concerns about the abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court by the FBI in its efforts to target Trump.
During the first impeachment investigation of President Trump, which Schiff led as chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Democrats tried, in vain, to find evidence that Patel had been a “back channel” for Russia to Trump. The impeachment report cited a phone call between then-Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Patel — which proved nothing but the fact that the committee had violated the president’s Sixth Amendment rights by spying on his legal counsel.
Schiff then served on the one-sided January 6 Committee, which pursued Patel again. Once again, it found no wrongdoing, and only belatedly released the transcript of his closed-door interview with the committee.
The claim that Patel wants to arrest members of the media and the government refers to his declaration that “conspirators” who broke the law in their effort to bring down Trump should be investigated and prosecuted.
That might well include Schiff himself, who violated the rights of witnesses in the impeachment and January 6 Committee investigations; lied to the public about Russia “collusion,” while referring to his access to intelligence information; and did not preserve the documentary evidence collected by the January 6 Committee for review, thus denying defendants in numerous criminal cases access to potentially exculpatory evidence in their defense.
As of Monday morning, Schiff had not commented on President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter, for crimes dating back to Hunter’s appointment to the board of the corrupt Ukrainian gas company, Burisma. Schiff’s entire case against Trump was premised on the false claim that there was no reason to suspect Hunter Biden’s role was corrupt, and that Trump had abused his power for political gain by asking Ukraine to investigate the matter.

National security authorities in Hungary are investigating a possible sabotage plot targeting the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline, the Magyar Nemzet newspaper reported on Monday. The pipeline carrying Russian crude to landlocked countries in Central Europe was at the center of a spat between Budapest and Brussels over the summer.
Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Center was alerted by authorities in neighboring Slovakia over the weekend that “an organized group” was operating in both countries carrying out “field survey” in the vicinity of the pipeline. The activities could indicate “possible preparations for a terrorist attack” against the countries’ critical infrastructure, wrote the paper.
“Unfortunately, the Slovak announcement had to be taken seriously” by the Anti-Terrorism Center and the national security services, the report added.
Built in the 1960s, the Druzhba pipeline stretches some 4,000km (2,485 miles) and connects Russian and Kazakh oil suppliers with consumers in Europe. The pipeline branches off in Belarus, with the northern part going to Poland and Germany, and the southern branch to Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
In June, Ukraine halted the transit of crude supplied by Russian energy giant Lukoil via the pipeline, citing its own sanctions on the company. The measure has directly hit landlocked Hungary and Slovakia, depriving them of oil previously exported by the company through Ukrainian territory. Lukoil’s supply was reportedly replaced by that of another Russian oil firm, Tatneft.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto in July accused Brussels of orchestrating the suspension of Lukoil’s supply to blackmail the two states. Slovakia and Hungary are the only EU members that have rejected the bloc’s policies on supplying Kiev with military aid amid the conflict with Moscow. Both states have repeatedly called for the crisis to be solved through diplomacy.
In September, Hungarian energy company MOL reached a deal with suppliers and pipeline operators. Under its terms, the crude shipped via Ukraine would be officially sold to MOL before it crosses the country’s border.
Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky’s top adviser, Mikhail Podoliak, said at the time that Kiev will honor its agreements and transit Russian oil to Europe until the contracts expire in 2029.
The Washington Post reported last year that Zelensky secretly plotted a range of steps that contradicted his official statements at the time. The outlet cited classified US intelligence documents that detailed Zelensky’s plans to enter Russia and occupy villages along the border, to push for permission to use Western long-range missiles to hit targets inside Russia’s borders, and to bomb a pipeline that transfers Russian oil to Hungary.
The first part of the plan has materialized in recent months with Kiev’s offensive in Russia’s Kursk Region and the permission by the US, the UK, and France to launch their long-range missiles deep into Russia.

The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is set to open in North Dakota on July 4, 2026 — the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. — the foundation constructing the massive building said.
The “state-of-the-art” library will sit on more than 90 acres of the North Dakota Badlands, on the edge of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Fox News reported.
Artistic projections of the building created by the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation show a design meant to be cohesive with the surrounding nature, featuring an earthen roof that curves with the neighboring grassy hill:
“The grounds and roof will be made up of native plants and grasses so as to help restore the biodiversity of the region which has been degraded over time,” the outlet reported.
The building’s construction team said they reached multiple “new milestones” in October, including the official “topping out” of the main structure, which is when the highest point of the building is installed.
Edward O’Keefe, the CEO of the foundation, said in a statement that North Dakota “is the fulcrum of the hero’s journey in TR’s almost unbelievable life story.”
“[Roosevelt] wrote that if all his memories were to be taken from him, and he was forced only one memory from his incredible life he would choose to remember ‘my life on the ranch with its experiences close to nature and among the men who lived nearest her,’” O’Keefe, a North Dakota native, said. “He did not choose the memory of the Roughriders or the charge up Kettle Hill; he would not recall McKinley’s assassination and his rise from the vice presidency to the Oval Office … TR chose to remember North Dakota, and so North Dakota chooses to remember TR.”
“We want every visitor to the TR presidential library and museum to walk out understanding the role of nature as a restorative force in TR’s life, and that each of us can be the change we want to see in the world,” O’Keefe added. “This museum can be a platform for embracing civic dialogue, thoughtful debate, and inspiration around the globe.”
The library’s construction is supported by the former president’s great-great-grandson, Theodore Roosevelt V.
“My great great grandfather’s legacy of citizenship, leadership, and conservation are as relevant today as they were during the height of his presidency,” Roosevelt said in a statement on the library’s website. “When you focus on people interested in solutions rather than divisive rhetoric, it becomes clear that there is much more that unites us than divides us – just as there was at the turn of the 20th century.”
“Like Theodore Roosevelt, a man of paradoxes – Republican and progressive, crusader against monopolies and capitalist, hunter and conservationist, partisan and rogue independent – our country is many different things,” he added. “Finding the commonality among them may just be the key to America’s future.”

A leading demographer has warned that the white British population may become a minority by the middle of the century if current trends continue as Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer declared this week that the “open borders experiment” was a failure imposed on the country by “design”.
In an apparent confirmation of what many derided as a “conspiracy theory”, the notion of a “Great Replacement” agenda, Prime Minister Starmer said that previous Tory governments “deliberately” decided to liberalise immigration following Brexit to “turn Britain into a one-nation experiment in open borders.”
“This happened by design, not accident. Policies were reformed… Global Britain – remember that slogan… That is what they meant. A policy with no support… Well that’s unforgivable,” he said.
While the prime minister was correct in noting that the so-called Conservative governments of Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak allowed in unprecedented levels of immigration following Brexit — by refusing to put an annual cap on immigration resulting in nearly one million migrants arriving last year, alone — the open borders agenda imposed on the country pre-dates Tory rule.
Indeed, prior to the Labour government of former PM Tony Blair, the UK had net migration in the tens of thousands, however, under Blair this began to soar into the hundreds of thousands per year. In 2009, former Blair advisor Andrew Neather claimed that this was a deliberate policy to transform Britain into a multicultural society and to “rub the right’s nose in diversity.”
The mass migration policies of both Labour and Conservative governments have had a radical impact on the demographic make up of the UK, with the 2021 census finding that less than three quarters (74.4 per cent) of the population identify as a member of indigenous ethnic groups of the British Isles (English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish, or British). This is compared to 80 per cent in 2011 and 87.5 per cent in 2001.
Associate research fellow at Birkbeck, University of London and a senior member at St Antony’s College, Oxford, Dr Paul Morland warned this week that if the political class fails to reverse course, the native white British population could become a minority in their own country by 2050.
Dr Morland, who has been described as the UK’s leading demographer, said that since the Blair administration, the UK has seen “more immigration than we had in the whole period from the Norman Conquest to the Second World War.”
He said that if the government continues on the same course, people in the country 30 years ago were overwhelmingly the descendants of people here a thousand years ago, that’s not going to be the case in the middle of the century.” However, Dr Morland argued that “nothing is predetermined”, pointing to the example of former British colony Singapore, which strictly controls immigration.
“It’s a choice, what do we as a country want and does that manage to get expressed and implemented by our politicians. It seems quite clear to me that those two are not the same, the country wants one thing and the politicians are not prepared to follow,” he said.
Noting the “related” issue of declining birth rates, the top demographer said that cutting immigration must be accompanied with pro-natalist policies to encourage the native population have more children to mitigate the financial impacts of a declining population. Morland has previously pointed to policies implemented by the populist-conservative government of Viktor Orbán in Hungary, such as tax and other incentives for mothers, as a potential framework.
While Prime Minister Starmer committed this week to increasing economic opportunities for young people and reforming the immigration system, his government has refused to commit to an annual cap on immigration, which critics have argued is necessary to stem the massive influx of foreigners into the country.
Commentators on social media asserted that Starmer’s comments were an implicit admission of the much-derided “Great Replacement Theory”. Although often portrayed as a “racist” conspiracy theory, the concept, developed by French Renaud Camus, argues that the real aim of mass migration policies are motivated by economics, with leaders seeing their populations as little more than interchangeable cogs who can be changed out with little consequence to bolster GDP.
Speaking to Breitbart News in 2018, Camus said that globalist forces, such as those involved with the Davos-based World Economic Forum, support “the change of people and civilisation for the sake of the industry of man, the economic system which produces the Undifferentiated Human Matter, the human Nutella, spreadable at will.”

Afghanistan’s governing Taliban terrorist organization on Sunday demanded representatives be allowed to join all future U.N. global climate talks after returning from COP29 in Baku where its officials were welcomed for the first time.
AFP reports the Afghan delegation had attended in the wake of the Taliban sweeping to power in August 2021 through a bloody takeover, having failed to get an invite to the past two COPs (Conference of the Parties) held in Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
This is despite a Taliban representative previously claiming the jihadist organization will, if permitted, play an “indispensable role” on the international stage engaging in climate issues among other supposed global challenges.
Now it is again calling for inclusion.
“Afghanistan must participate in such conferences in the future,” said Matiul Haq Khalis, the director general of Afghanistan’s National Environmental Protection Agency, at a press conference on Sunday.
He described Afghanistan’s attendance last month at the talks as a “big achievement.”
“We participated in the conference this year so that we could raise the voice of the nation about the issues we are facing, what the needs of the people are, we must share these things with the world.”
He said the Afghan delegation had meetings with “19 different organisations and governments”, including with delegations from Russia, Qatar, Azerbaijan and Bangladesh.
The Taliban, which has imposed an austere version of sharia Islamic law since taking power, also says it will seek to be part of the $100 billion per year in climate finance through 2025 that was agreed at the summit in order to help save the world from “climate change.”
CBS News has previously blamed “climate change” for abetting the Taliban in their rise to power in Afghanistan, insisting global warming has forced farmers into debt and into the arms of the Taliban, as Breitbart News reported.
In its defense, CBS News is not the only entity attempting the Herculean feat of connecting Islamic terror to climate change.
In 2014, Charles B. Strozier, professor of history at the City University of New York, asserted that “environmental stressors and political violence are connected in surprising ways” and suggested driving hybrid cars as a way to thwart the Taliban’s war on girls.
“If more Americans knew how glacial melt contributes to catastrophic weather in Afghanistan — potentially strengthening the Taliban and imperiling Afghan girls who want to attend school — would we drive more hybrids and use millions fewer plastic bags?” Strozier asked rhetorically. “How would elections and legislation be influenced?”

Climate change alarmists are rending their garments over President-elect Trump’s calls to return America to energy independence, warning he wants to turn the U.S. into a “pariah petrostate.”
Donald Trump has put together a team “that will ramp up fossil fuel production in a country that is already pumping out more crude oil than any nation in history,” laments Marianne Lavelle, writing for Inside Climate News.
The fossil fuel industry’s influence “is bound to be amplified under Trump,” Lavelle writes, “who does not view climate change as a serious problem and who describes ‘energy dominance’ as a policy imperative.”
Lavelle cites the woke eco-activist Jean Su, director of the Center for Biological Diversity’s energy justice program, who, in her own words, is “dedicated to fighting the climate emergency by advancing a just, renewable, and anti-racist energy future and ending the historical energy violence inflicted on communities of color and the planet.”
Ms. Su has been particularly critical of Trump’s choice of Chris Wright, CEO of the Denver-based Liberty Energy, to lead the Department of Energy.
“Picking someone like Chris Wright is a clear sign that Trump wants to turn the U.S. into a pariah petrostate,” Su said. “He’s damning frontline communities and our planet to climate hell just to pad the already bloated pockets of fossil fuel tycoons.”
Su’s words echo those of Michael Mann, inventor of the infamous “Hockey Stick” climate graph, who offered a similar appraisal of America’s energy future.
“The United States is now poised to become an authoritarian state ruled by plutocrats and fossil fuel interests,” Mann wrote in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. “It is now, in short, a petrostate.”
The Collins English Dictionary defines a petrostate as a derogatory term referring to “a small, oil-rich country in which institutions are weak and wealth and power are concentrated in the hands of a few.”
Examples of petrostates include Bahrain, Brunei, Equatorial Guinea, Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.
Aware of the absurdity of the comparison, other critics have taken a small step back from the analogy, without abandoning it altogether.
“The United States is acting a bit like, I wouldn’t necessarily say a petrostate, but like a state in which the hydrocarbon industry is a huge domestic constituency and source of employment and private sector revenues and now exports,” said Cullen Hendrix, senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, cited by Lavelle.
Curiously, Lavelle goes on to criticize how much money energy companies pay in taxes.
“Wyoming gets 59 percent of its state budget from fossil fuel revenue,” she writes, “North Dakota, 29 percent; and Alaska, 21 percent.”
Other states “take in staggering sums, led by Texas, at $14.6 billion annually; California, $7.8 billion; and Pennsylvania, $4.4 billion,” she states.
During Trump’s first term as president, the United States surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia in oil production and became a net exporter of energy for the first time in more than 60 years, Lavelle writes.
The 2024 election “has driven home to many how fossil fuel abundance has made the road to climate action harder in the United States,” she says, which many readers may just think is a good thing. A very good thing.

Police in New York City arrested two suspected members of the gang Tren de Aragua on Wednesday who are believed to be linked to violence at an apartment complex in Aurora, Colorado.
The suspects allegedly connected to the Venezuelan gang were identified as 23-year-old Denyeer Aramillo Meneses and 25-year-old Edison Pena Angulo, Fox News reported on Friday.
The NYPD’s gang task force and officials with Homeland Security arrested the pair following a major credit card scam and drug trafficking bust.
Authorities reportedly nabbed 15 suspected members of the gang following a lengthy investigation regarding a drug ring that apparently sold several different types of narcotics in New York City, while also allegedly taking part in credit card fraud and violent crimes.
According to sources, officials located multiple firearms during the raid. The Fox article reported, “The two gang members’ federal indictments and offenses remain sealed, and it is unclear what charges they face. In Aurora, both men were charged with menacing with a firearm and first-degree burglary.”
Meneses, Angulo and four other armed men were captured on video knocking on apartment doors at Aurora’s The Edge at Lowry Complex on August 18. Police said they knocked on two apartment doors, busted inside and threatened occupants. Oswaldo Jose Dabion Araujo, 25, was fatally shot in the incident.
Video footage shows the incident outside the apartment in Aurora when several men approached the door, per Fox 31 Denver.
The two suspects who were recently arrested entered the United States illegally, the outlet said:
In September, Breitbart News reported that families were fleeing Colorado apartment buildings populated by the Venezuelan gang members.
Following that report, uncovered documents showed law enforcement officials’ warnings that Aurora, Colorado, was under threat from Tren de Aragua well before the reports of its presence in several apartment complexes, a Breitbart News article published in October said.
The report noted that the state’s Democrat governor denied those facts surrounding the issue.
“One document, for instance, showed that law enforcement officials discovered the Venezuelan gang had chosen the Denver area to serve as their U.S. headquarters because of the state’s extremely lenient immigration and sanctuary policies,” the article said.

By Tarik Cyril Amar, a historian from Germany working at Koç University, Istanbul, on Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe, the history of World War II, the cultural Cold War, and the politics of memory.
Unless you want to be blind, it is obvious that Ukraine under the Zelensky regime is not remotely a free country. In politics, after massive repression, there are only remnants of an opposition, which face continuing oppression and harassment by the government, as even the French newspaper Le Monde, generally naïve about the Zelensky regime, has reported.
Ukraine’s public sphere is stifled by nationalist propaganda, pressure, and demonstrative, intimidating terror. Before the escalation of 2022, even a robustly propagandistic tool of Western information warfare such as Freedom House could still acknowledge that much: its 2018 report, authored by Ukrainian researcher Vyacheslav Likhachev, identified Ukraine’s Far Right organizations as “a threat to democracy” and “aggressively trying to impose their agenda on Ukrainian society, including by using force against those with opposite political and cultural views.”
Regarding Ukraine’s media, expect not much resistance from there. They are tightly controlled and, often, pro-actively obedient, whether out of misguided conviction, fear, or careerism. Even Ukraine’s Western supporters, as well as some courageous critics in Ukraine, have voiced criticism of the crude propaganda habits of the Zelensky regime.
Make no mistake: The authoritarian features of the rule of Vladimir Zelensky – formerly the object of a veritable Western personality cult that, by now, at least some devotees must feel embarrassed about – are not the result of the large-scale war. The politics of Zelenskyism, to coin an ugly but handy term, were always unusually deceitful and manipulative and, by 2021 at the latest, openly bending toward authoritarianism, as many Ukrainian critics pointed out at the time.
And yet: Imagine a future trial, maybe to be held in Ukraine, of Zelensky and his team. The defense would not be able to do much about their record of corruption, but it would certainly at least try to blame some of the former leader’s underhanded and tyrannical tendencies on the war. It would be a stretch, but lawyers have to do their best, even for the worst of clients.
In the case of the Western users of the Zelensky regime, though, such a defense would not be merely far-fetched but completely absurd. Yet a defense some of them at least might come to need. Take for instance the case of Britain’s Lieutenant General Charlie Stickland and his shadowy but numerous associates.
The unfortunately important general – boasting of his pirate ancestors and in charge of “UK-led joint and multinational overseas military operations” – and his motley crew have just been the object of an investigative exposé by Grayzone reporter Kit Klarenberg. In, for now, two articles, the Grayzone has detailed how, in 2022, Stickland set up a below-the-radar network of “an assortment of leading academics, authors, strategists, planners, pollsters, comms, data scientists and tech.” Under the name Project Alchemy and overlapping and liaising with another group of wannabe keyboard Ninjas calling themselves – I kid you not – “the Elders,” this conspiratorial group has worked on, in essence, keeping the Ukraine war going at any price and by means foul and fouler.
Based on leaked documents, the Grayzone’s reporting is revealing in more ways than can be discussed here. Yet, as we are dealing with prose authored by militant bureaucrats and self-weaponizing intellectuals in the land of George Orwell, that old stickler for the English language, we would be remiss not to appreciate their bizarre lingo. It brings together a certain jejune rugby field boyishness – “mischief” is proudly being made – with a militarized sociolect of corporatese: “fusion players” and “sideways thinkers” get “badged” and “meshed in” to “move at pace,” and – greatest pride of the eminent executive – stand ready to work over the weekend!
Doing what exactly? All kinds of things, really, and all based on one stupid yet once immensely popular assumption: that the proxy war in Ukraine could be leveraged to defeat Russia, reduce it to geopolitical insignificance, impose regime change on it, and even break it up. Some, including the new de facto foreign minister of the EU, Estonia’s Kaja Kallas – imagine Annalena Baerbock, but without the brilliant intellect – still seem to be on that political equivalent of an LSD trip gone terribly wrong. What a hangover it will be one day, probably soon.
In Britain, highlights of Project Alchemy groupthink included hatching plans for stay-behind sabotage networks and recommending the example of the underground “Gladio” operations that NATO ran in Western – not, please note, Eastern – Europe during the Cold War. Strictly speaking, Gladio was an Italian label, while the same bad idea had different names in other countries. By now, though, Gladio stands for a whole plethora of clandestine organizations set up, ostentatiously, to engage in partisan resistance in case of a Soviet attack and occupation.
You may feel that, in principle at least, for generals, preparing for the possibility of future partisan warfare is not an objectionable activity. Yet the issue is that, in reality, the Gladio operations were not only extremely dubious in constitutional and legal terms, as being entirely beyond democratic control and oversight, as well as tied to foreign intelligence services. In addition, these networks served to fight a dirty war against the domestic left, including by terrorism, false-flag attacks, the systematic use of far-right conspirators and terrorists, and support for military coups.
An influential, black-ops-connected British general and his chums wanting to learn lessons from Gladio for underground networks in Ukraine? The country with the best-armed (compliments of the West), most whitewashed and naively underestimated (compliments of the Western media and self-weaponizing intellectuals of the Anne Applebaum/Tim Snyder variety), most aggressive, and most militarized far right in the world? Swimming in arms right next to an EU-NATO Europe they will soon feel bitterly disappointed by? What could possibly go wrong? But maybe Charlie 'Pirate' Stickland is “fusion”-”thinking” “sideways” in Churchillian terms: “Set Europe Ablaze!” Yet Stickland seems to have overlooked that Churchill wanted to set it ablaze against the Nazis, not with them.
All of this is, in and of itself, very bad, if unsurprising, news. But Project Alchemy has been prolific, producing lousy ideas the way Russian industry is churning out artillery shells and missiles. There also were: a frank emphasis on “creatively using” – let’s be honest: breaking – the law so as to get silly violent things done, including “deniable ops”; a daft idea to attack the Kerch Bridge, as if Russia would not strike back (both have by now happened, the militarily useless attack and the painful payback); an anticipatory strategy of how to manipulate the British public in case it should get tired of pumping money into the proxy war; attempts to undermine BRICS-plus (thinking big and bigger); plans to shut down Russian media in the West, obviously; and, last but not least, an aggressive strategy to use covert lawfare and deliberate financial pressure to bring down Western critical media as well, including, as it happens, the Grayzone. Say what you will, but Stickland and company seem to have had a foreboding from where exactly they would get their richly deserved come-uppance.
It would be tempting to think of this wave of disinformation and manipulation in the West as a kind of “Ukrainization.” As if the West had caught the contagion of the Zelensky regime’s very bad habits. But to be fair, the West has its own, well-established tradition of waging war by massive lying on the home front. In 2019, it was the Washington Post, usually hewing close to the American government line, that ran a series of in-depth stories detailing how, during the West’s long war in Afghanistan, started almost two decades before, the US had been “at war with the truth.” Suddenly, clearly in preparation of the impending Western retreat, readers were allowed to learn that while “officials constantly said they were making progress,” they “were not, and they knew it.”
And the name of that Washington Post series? The Afghanistan Papers. That, of course, was a reference to the famous Pentagon Papers, an internal and classified Defense Department review of US policy and warfare in Vietnam that was leaked to the New York Times by the historic – and heroic – whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, who suffered severe, criminal attempts to silence, and in effect, destroy him. The long American intervention, begun indirectly in the 1940s and escalating into one of the most brutal US campaigns of the twentieth century in the 1960s, only ended with the total defeat of both Washington and its South Vietnamese proxy in 1975.
The New York Times began to publish the Pentagon Papers in 1971. Once again, as with the later bloody Western fiasco in Afghanistan, the moment of truth – some truth – came late, only toward the end of a policy catastrophe that had long been supported by compliant mainstream media. The Grayzone is considered alternative media, and its reporters are doing a much better job at real journalism than their competition in the mainstream version. As to them, they clearly have not yet reached the stage of always-too-late revelation that, during the proxy wars in Vietnam and Afghanistan, was marked by 1971 and 2019, respectively.
How do we know? They are ignoring the Grayzone’s sensational revelations about a military-think-tank-industry conspiracy to undermine the law, deliberately manipulate the public, and wage proxy war in a way that is both dirty and bound to backfire very badly on the West itself. One more sign that all too many in the West are not yet ready to face reality, even while the Ukrainians they claim to help but only use keep dying.

British Secret Intelligence Service agents have been involved in covert operations against Russia on behalf of Ukraine, SIS head Sir Richard Moore has said.
The SIS was created by the WWII-era Special Operations Executive and is also known as MI6. Moore made the admission in a speech at the British Embassy in Paris on Friday at the reception for his French counterpart, Nicolas Lerner of the DGSE.
“We cherish our heritage of covert action which we keep alive today in helping Ukraine resist the Russian invasion,” Moore said at one point.
His admission came just a day after former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson openly declared that Ukraine is a proxy of NATO in a war against Russia.
“Let’s face it: We’re waging a proxy war but not giving our proxies the ability to do the job,” Johnson told the Daily Telegraph, arguing that “the problem has not been escalation; the problem has been the failure to escalate fast enough.”
Russia has long known about the role of British – and American – intelligence operatives in Ukraine. Last month, Moscow’s ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, told the Security Council that “Western intelligence agencies, primarily the British MI6, have systematically prepared Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to organize provocations at nuclear power plants in Russia.”
According to Ukrainian media, the UK has also pushed Kiev into military adventures such as the Krynki bridgehead, where hundreds of elite marines perished trying to create a foothold on the other bank of the Dnieper. British mercenaries have also taken part in the Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region.
In February, the New York Times revealed an almost decade-long effort by the CIA to shape Ukraine into a weapon against Russia, implicating several allied intelligence services as well. The current head of Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR), Kirill Budanov, is among the operatives trained by American spies.
The CIA and the MI6 were on the ground in Ukraine as early as 2014, former Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) employee Vasily Prozorov testified in March 2019. Speaking in Moscow, Prozorov named some of the British agents who visited the front line in Donbass, as well as the special forces training grounds in Berdichev.
In his speech in Paris, Moore insisted that France and Britain are “united and unflinching in our determination to support Ukraine for as long as it takes,” arguing that NATO can prevail because it has “many times Russia’s GDP and defense budget.”
“We should never doubt that our alliance has strength in numbers, both economic and military, and our unity of purpose makes that count,” the British spymaster claimed, adding that “Our democracy is our strength.”

The National Post of Canada, citing statistics from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), noted Friday that 87 percent of individuals identified as “terror suspects” trying to enter America through a land border came from Canada.
“Terror suspect” refers to individuals identified in the American “Terrorist Screening Dataset (TSDS),” an expansive list that includes individuals facing legal action for terrorism, confirmed to be members of terrorist organizations, or others with family ties to individuals identified as terrorists or others affiliated with people suspected of having ties to foreign or domestic terrorist organizations. Their appearance in the TSDS does not guarantee that they are terrorists, and the individuals identified in the National Post report are those who attempted to enter America legally, not the unknowns crossing the border while evading law enforcement.
The consistent high percentage of TSDS-listed individuals stopped at the Canadian border nonetheless brings attention to national security concerns in the north that are often eclipsed by calls to secure the more crowded and chaotic southern border with Mexico. The Canadian newspaper highlighted the data in the context of President-elect Donald Trump announcing on Monday that he is considering imposing a 25-percent tariff on Canadian goods, and Mexican goods, until both countries help contain what he described as out-of-control mass migration, human trafficking, drug trafficking, and other transnational crime.
“In the last fiscal year, 358 individuals on the terror watchlist were stopped at a Canadian border crossing, as compared to 52 stopped at a Mexican border crossing,” the National Post reported. “And this has been the ratio for the entire post-COVID era.”
“In 2022, Canada yielded 82 per cent of the 380 terror suspects stopped at a U.S. land border crossing. In 2023, Canada yielded 86 per cent of the 564 total suspects stopped at a land border crossing,” it observed.
The American list of “known or suspected terrorist encounters” is an expansive one that includes individuals known to associate with terrorist entities as well as individuals with family suspected of being in terrorist groups, as well as some belonging to groups that may have at one time been designated as foreign terror groups or individuals with ties to groups categorized as domestic terrorists.
“A single omission of a terrorist identity or an inaccuracy in the identifying information contained in a watchlist record can have enormous consequences,” the Department of Justice explained in 2007 regarding the broad nature of the list.
The National Post story relates to individuals legally attempting to enter America who appear on the terror watchlist, a separate issue from illegal immigration flows out of Canada. American border patrol agents have also lamented a dramatic increase in the number of people attempting to enter America illegally in the last year.
“It was a flood we had not seen before. It was an exponential shift,” Erik Lavallee, Border Patrol Agent in Charge of the Beecher Falls Station in Vermont, told CBS News in September. Lavallee noted that part of the reason for the surge was that “multiple identified transnational criminal organizations” were now active in human trafficking south into America.
“Illegal crossings have continued to skyrocket with roughly 19,000 people arrested in fiscal year 2024,” CBS noted. “That is about the same amount as the last 17 years combined. Although, Customs and Border Protection notes that the Swanton Sector has seen a 52-percent reduction in encounters since the height of crossings in June.”
President-elect Trump addressed the immigration issues on the Canadian border in a message posted to his Truth Social website on Monday, alarming Canadian authorities with the threat of a 25-percent tariff on their exports.
“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,” Trump wrote. “This Tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion of our Country!”
Radical leftist Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has largely kept mum on the threat, but told reporters on Tuesday that he had a “good call” with Trump after he posted that message and expressed optimism he could resolve the problem. The lack of apparent urgency from Trudeau elicited condemnation from nearly every part of the Canadian political spectrum, from the major opposition Conservative Party to political figures left of Trudeau.
Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre condemned Trump’s tariff threat as “unjustified” but painted an image of Trudeau as unprepared and uninformed on the matter.
“We need a plan,” Poilievre said, urging Trudeau to address mass migration. “A plan to put Canada first on the economy and on security.”
Poilievre again demanded in the Canadian Parliament that Trudeau’s administration address the issue.
“There are half a million people here illegally, all of whom could be tempted to go south of the border, provoking a massive retaliatory response,” Poilievre said.
“So once again, what’s the plan to fix what he broke?” he asked, addressing Canadian Immigration Minister Marc Miller, who responded by demanding Poilievre “grow a pair” and obtain the security clearance necessary for access to immigration briefings.
Trudeau announced earlier in November that his lax immigration policies would soon change as a result of the damage they caused the country.
“Far too many colleges and universities used international students to raise their bottom line — because they could charge these students tens of thousands of dollars more for the same degree,” Trudeau said in a social media message. “And, then there are really bad actors who outright exploit people, who target vulnerable immigrants with promises of jobs, diplomas, and easy pathways to citizenship. Promises that would never come true.”

White House reporters are already “exhausted” with President-elect Donald Trump’s second term before it even starts, members of the press corps told Vanity Fair on Wednesday.
In the article, titled “Reporters Brace for the Frenzy of a Second Trump White House,” New York Times White House correspondent Peter Baker said, “Anybody who went through it the last time remembers how nonstop it was.”
“It ends up kind of becoming all-consuming and taking over your life. It wears you down,” he lamented.
“Everybody’s exhausted, and he hasn’t even taken office yet,” Baker added.
Julia Manchester, a national political reporter for the Hill, referred to the incoming president as “someone who thrives on unpredictability.”
Describing the aftermath of the November 5 election as something like “déjà vu” for the press corps, she said it was “right into the fire with this transition, with the Cabinet picks.”
“And I think overall, just outside of the press corps, the country itself was feeling burnt out,” Manchester added.
While Meredith McGraw of Politico said that “no matter where Trump goes, what he does, there’s behind-the-scenes drama and intrigue,” she predicted that news publications are not going to jump on every single social media post from Trump like the last time around.
Instead, she said outlets will be focusing on being “bigger-picture about stories.”
Baker concurred, telling Vanity Fair that outlets will need to “recognize that we’re not going to jump on every single stray voltage that comes out of his phone.”
He did express concern that reporters who clash with Trump will be removed from the briefing room, however.
“If Trump kicks us out of the White House briefing room… then fine, we’ll still cover from the outside,” Baker said. “We’ll take on the challenge as it develops, but I don’t think we’re going to shrink from that.”
He also stressed the need to “recognize that [Trump] is a different, more experienced person at turning the levers of power than he was the first time around.”

By Rachel Marsden, a columnist, political strategist, and host of independently produced talk-shows in French and English.
Angela Merkel has just dropped a smoking gun into the pages of her new book. According to ‘Freedom: Memoirs 1954-2021’, published on November 26, Berlin was fully aware that Washington wanted to kill off Nord Stream. And that it was just using Russia as a scapegoat to steal a massive new energy market for itself.
“The United States argued that its security interests were affected by the building of the pipeline because its ally Germany would make itself too dependent on Russia. In truth, I felt that the United States was mobilizing its formidable economic and financial resources to prevent the business ventures of other countries, even their allies,” Merkel writes.
“The United States was chiefly interested in its own economic interests, as it wanted to export to Europe LNG obtained through fracking.”
This pretty much establishes that it was by premeditated design that Washington leveraged the Russian military operation in Ukraine as a convenient pretext to turn economic competitor Germany – and the EU more generally – into a vassal. But Merkel’s successor, Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and the rest of the German and European establishment, acted like Joe Biden was just coming to their rescue out of benevolence when he offered to sell them LNG to replace Russian gas – which turned out to cost several times the price, to the ongoing detriment of German and European industry and citizenry.
Biden had stood beside Scholz at a White House podium in February 2022, talking like a mafia boss, saying that “there will no longer be a Nord Stream 2” if Russia enters Ukraine. Then the pipeline just mysteriously blew up in September 2022. Germany still hasn’t found those responsible, though.
Hey, how about this guy who was standing right next to your chancellor? German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier awarded Biden the Order of Merit in October, citing Germany’s “friendship” with the US, and telling Biden that “under your leadership, the transatlantic alliance is stronger and our partnership is closer than ever.” Yeah, close. Like family. Where you can help yourself to stuff that isn’t yours and wreck it – like an entire German car industry or a pipeline. Or where you can disapprove of a relationship – like the one that Germany had with Russia.
Or maybe one can even do both of these things at the same time, like Miami-based American businessman, Stephen Lynch, seems to be attempting to achieve by asking for the US government’s approval in bidding on Nord Stream 2, majority-owned by a subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom, according to the Wall Street Journal. Now that Washington’s meddling has bankrupted the pipeline project and it’s set for the auction block, guess Lynch figures that maybe he can squeeze in between Russian gas and Germany’s desperation for cheap supply, with Uncle Sam’s blessing.
“This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for American and European control over European energy supply for the rest of the fossil-fuel era,” Lynch told the WSJ. It’s also a chance for US interests to profit from, and exert control over, both the EU and Russia, by wedging themselves between the two like they’re a chaperone on a teenage movie date. “I haven’t heard of Gazprom wanting to put gas transportation infrastructure in the hands of the USA,” the Kremlin has said, putting a damper on Lynch’s ambitions, which are perfectly aligned with what Merkel now says has been America’s objective all along.
All these leads and Germany still hasn’t been able to nail the bad guys. Meanwhile, its official narrative continues to unravel. Just this week, Poland’s RMF FM News reported that researchers from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw found traces in water samples near the Nord Stream explosion site of TNT – trinitrotoluene – which is found in highly regulated military-grade explosives. Not exactly the kind of stuff that any random dude can just pick up at the local party store down the street along with other supplies for their big Friday night brewski bonanza.
Poland has long given major side-eye to the official Western narrative as it’s been dripping out, notably into the German and American press. As their story goes, a bunch of rogue Ukrainian army types just decided after getting hammered together one night in a pub to go play Aquaman in the Baltic Sea and trash Nord Stream all on their own like it was their ex’s new boyfriend’s car. Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and the CIA tried to stop them when they found out about the plans, but Zelensky’s top general, Valery Zaluzhny, just ignored them… and was then rewarded for doing so with an ambassadorship to Britain.
So where would these Ukrainian dudes have scored the military grade TNT? Because the Western press, notably Reuters, has already reported that Ukraine can’t produce it and that its global shortage is even a problem for making weapons… let alone supplying random Ukrainian guys looking for a good time on a terrorist bender after their booza-palooza.
Meanwhile, Germany has blamed Poland for the fact that Berlin authorities haven’t been able to arrest any suspects, saying the ringleader and Ghost of the Baltic Sea (aka the “Vladimir Z”), fled from Ukraine to Warsaw. But Polish prosecutors say that’s Germany’s fault for not even giving the Polish border folks a heads-up until it was too late.
Poland has also said that Germany’s story of the Ukrainian suspects renting a boat called ‘Andromeda’ as their troublemaker trimaran is just stupid, with Poland’s top intelligence coordination official saying on record that they’ve found that the guys on that ship were just out for a good time and didn’t appear to “have anything close to military or sabotage-related training.”
Poland’s prime minister, Donald Tusk, has said that Germany should just “apologize and keep quiet” rather than trying to scapegoat Poland or some random Ukrainian boozehounds. Immediately after the attack, the current Polish foreign affairs minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, tweeted a widely-circulating photo of the Nord Stream damage. “Thank you, USA,” he added.
Even some German political leaders don’t sound like they’re buying the country’s official story. And now it seems that Merkel has just offered strong corroborating evidence – and major political cover – for Poland and Germany to finally agree on something.

Hollywood actor-director Rob Reiner has deleted his X / Twitter account in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s resounding victory. His exit marks the end of an era for Reiner who had spent years using the platform to spread false claims and wild accusations aimed at Trump and his supporters — including repeatedly smearing them as white nationalists.
Rob Reiner’s X account, which boasted 2.3 million followers, was no longer accessible as of Thursday, with the platform returning a message that the account “doesn’t exist.”
As one of Hollywood’s most reliable Democrat fundraisers and cheerleaders, Reiner used his X account to champion establishment party politicians — most notably Joe Biden, whom Reiner boosted enthusiastically despite mounting evidence that the president was experiencing cognitive decline.
Biden’s catastrophic debate performance in June prompted Reiner to call for him to step down from his re-election campaign. Like much of Hollywood, Reiner eventually threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris — even going so far as to post on election day that Harris would be the 47th president.
It was not to be. President-elect Donald Trump’s decisive victory ushered in an exodus of left-wing Hollywood celebrities from X, with Reiner being the latest casualty.
Breitbart News has spent years cataloguing Reiner’s many outlandish accusations and false claims. While they are too numerous to list in their entirety below, here is a sampling of some his most egregious posts.
On election day, Reiner declared: “Kamala Harris will be the 47th President of the United States.”
Last year, he was one of numerous celebrities who celebrated Colorado’s Supreme Court for throwing Trump off the ballot. The U.S. Supreme Court later reinstated Trump, deciding unanimously that the state had acted improperly.
In 2022, Reiner falsely claimed Trump was “directly” tied to the assault on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband, Paul Pelosi. Of course, Trump had nothing to do with the attack at the Pelosi residence.
That same year, Reiner claimed Biden was “the best president in nearly 60 years” — implying that Biden had outperformed every president since Lyndon B. Johnson.
Following the 2022 school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, Reiner falsely blamed Republicans for the horrific act that left 19 children and two adults dead. “The blood of every child that dies of gun violence in this country is on the hands of the Republican Party,” the All in the Family star exclaimed
In 2021, he equated Republicans with racism, making the unsubstantiated claim that the GOP stands “for nothing except white nationalism.”
The same year, Reiner attacked the late Rush Limbaugh just a day after his death, calling him a purveyor of disinformation and saying that Americans must protect democracy from others like him.

US President-elect Donald Trump is “not safe,” Russian President Vladimir Putin believes.
The Russian president made the remarks on Thursday at a press conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, following a two-day Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit.
Putin said he was astonished by the way the US election campaign had unfolded, citing the “absolutely uncivilized methods used to battle against Trump, including repeated assassination attempts.”
“In my opinion, he is not safe now,” Putin emphasized, noting that “various incidents have happened in US history.”
Russia’s president praised Trump as an experienced and intelligent politician, saying he hopes the president-elect is “cautious and understands this.”
Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13 during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a bullet fired from around 150 meters away grazed his ear. The Secret Service responded by taking down the shooter, who was later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Crooks, a resident of a suburb of nearby Pittsburgh.
Another would-be assassin, Ryan Routh, was arrested in September after he set up an ambush at a Florida golf course belonging to Trump.
On Wednesday, ABC News reported, citing court documents, that US federal authorities have arrested an Arizona man who allegedly threatened to kill Trump and his family via a series of Facebook videos, which he had been posting on a “near daily basis.”
Putin said he was even more astonished that Trump’s political opponents had targeted the Republican’s family and children.
He called such behavior “revolting” and indicative of the US political system’s decline, noting that even criminal groups would not resort to such methods.
Putin said he couldn’t rule out that the Biden administration has been trying to create difficulties for Trump’s relations with Russia.
Nevertheless, Moscow is “ready for dialogue with the United States, including with the future administration,” Putin stressed.

The UK government is being pushed by the Ford Motor Co. to mandate consumer incentives to push drivers into electric vehicles (EVs) as an industry backlash grows over imposed sales targets and the marketplace flatly rejecting the product.
Lisa Brankin, Ford UK’s chair and managing director, told the BBC that without induced demand, a government mandate to produce and sell more EVs “just doesn’t work” and consumers must be forced to bend to government edicts.
Her plea adds to a growing tension between the government and the industry over the sale of new petrol and diesel cars being phased out by government decree over the next few years even as demand collapses.
On Tuesday, Stellantis, the owner of Vauxhall, said it would close a plant in Luton, putting 1,100 jobs at risk, partly due to the EV targets.
Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds told the House of Commons on Wednesday that Stellantis’s decision was “a dark day for Luton.”
It joins Ford in axing UK jobs, as Breitbart News reported.
Last week, it announced it will cut 800 jobs in the UK over the next three years, due to the EV targets and increased competition from China which is flooding the marketplace with cheap EV alternatives.
Brankin told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “The one thing that we really need is government-backed incentives to urgently boost the uptake of electric vehicles.”
She said Ford has invested “significantly” in the production and development of EVs, with “well over” £350m put into electrification in the UK. “So we kind of need to make it work,” she said.
Under the current government mandate, a percentage of the cars UK companies sell must qualify as zero-emission.
EVs must make up 22 percent of a company’s car sales and 10 percent of its van sales this year.
For every car sale outside of that, firms must pay a £15,000 fine.
That target is set to rise to 28 percent for cars and 16 percent for vans in 2025.
The rules will then get tougher every year ahead of a complete ban of new petrol and diesel car sales by 2030.

The Biden administration has agreed to lend $6 billion to troubled electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian to build a new factory near Atlanta, Georgia, a massive giveaway from an administration in love with EVs.
The New York Times reports that the Biden administration has announced that it will provide a $6 billion loan to Rivian, which produces electric vehicles but has struggled significantly in recent years. The loan will be used to finance the construction of a new factory in Social Circle, Georgia, near Atlanta, where Rivian plans to manufacture midsize sport utility vehicles and hatchbacks.
The loan agreement is expected to be finalized before the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump in January, making it a binding contract between the Department of Energy and Rivian. This move is seen as part of the Biden administration’s efforts to secure leftist climate policies before the incoming administration takes office.
The financing is a crucial lifeline for Rivian, which has been struggling to generate profits while selling vans to businesses and pickups and SUVs to individual consumers. The Georgia factory will complement Rivian’s existing plant in Normal, Illinois, and produce SUVs with a starting price of around $45,000, compared to the company’s current consumer vehicles, which start at approximately $70,000.
R.J. Scaringe, the chief executive of Rivian, stated that the loan would help create thousands of new American jobs and further strengthen the country’s leadership in electric vehicle manufacturing and technology. The project has also garnered support from Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R), who announced the plans outside the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta in December 2021.
Rivian recently received additional support from Volkswagen, with the companies forming a joint venture to develop software and electronics. Volkswagen plans to invest $5.8 billion in the joint venture and Rivian, extending their partnership announced in June.
Breitbart News reported earlier this year that Rivian was suffering serious financial difficulties:
CNBC reports that shares of electric vehicle makers Rivian and Lucid plunged on Thursday following disappointing fourth-quarter earnings reports released after markets closed on Wednesday. Rivian stock sank around 25 percent, while Lucid shares dropped nearly 17 percent.
Both companies cited stagnant production numbers and “existing economic and geopolitical uncertainties” as factors impacting results. Rivian forecasts production of 57,000 vehicles in 2024 — about the same as the 57,232 vehicles manufactured in 2023. Meanwhile, Lucid predicts production of 9,000 vehicles this year, a mere seven percent increase over 2022 levels.

At least six bombs were used to cripple the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines and all four of the gas connector’s lines were mined, German newspaper Die Welt has claimed, citing court papers.
The pipelines, built to deliver Russian gas to Germany and the rest of Western Europe, were destroyed by blasts at the bottom of the Baltic Sea in September 2022.
It was previously believed that the sabotage involved four explosive devices, the outlet noted in an article on Tuesday. However, Die Welt said its journalists had reviewed documents from a court case between Nord Stream AG and insurance companies, which suggest at least six bombs were detonated.
According to the paper, two additional damage sites have recently been found on the pipelines. They had not been noticed before because no gas leaked from the areas, the document alleges.
One of the damage sites was photographed by Swedish engineer Erik Andersen, who has investigated the explosions, the article said. One image reportedly captured traces of a blast on one of the lines of Nord Stream 2.
“There was very small damage, barely noticeable at first glance – a piece of concrete flaking off. But this spot also shows that an explosive device had obviously been placed there, probably incorrectly, so it was unable to cause any major damage,” the author of the piece, Ulrich Kraetzer, suggested on Die Welt TV.
Kraetzer also said there was an allegation that Russia may have been behind the destruction of the infrastructure, based on the fact that one of the four pipelines remained intact after the attack. Those behind the claims have reportedly argued that Russia refrained from placing explosives on one pipeline in order to be able to continue selling at least some of its gas to Europe.
“According to what we know, it [the fourth line] was supposed to have been destroyed too, and this makes the theory that Russia might have deliberately left the pipeline intact invalid,” Kraetzer stated.
Moscow has repeatedly said that any claims that it would blow up its own pipeline make no sense.
On Tuesday, the head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), Sergey Naryshkin, said that his agency had information about the “direct involvement” of professionals from the US and British special services in the Nord Stream sabotage. Russia built the pipelines “together with constructively minded Europeans, and the Anglo-Americans blew it up,” Naryshkin alleged.

A whistleblower who worked at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) says President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s administration has created a “white glove delivery service” that sees hundreds of migrant children funneled into the hands of criminals, traffickers, and cartel members throughout the United States.
During testimony this month before two subcommittees of the House Homeland Security Committee, Tara Lee Rodas detailed the process by which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) takes custody of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) at the southern border before they are handed over to HHS custody, which then places them with adult sponsors in the U.S.
Rodas worked at HHS in 2021 before blowing the whistle on the UAC program. Since Biden and Harris took office, more than 530,000 UACs have been encountered at the southern border — the majority of whom are teenagers.
“Today, as we speak, children are preparing to work grueling overnight shifts in slaughterhouses, restaurants, and factories,” Rodas said:
Some children may die today in jobs they don’t have the knowledge or skills to do in order to repay never-ending debts to their smugglers and traffickers. Today, children are being sold for sex. Some children, girls and boys, will get sexually transmitted diseases. Some girls – as young as 12, 11, or even 10 years old – will give birth to children of their own. Forced labor and prostitution among underage migrants have more than tripled under [the current Administration]. Today, desperate children will call hotlines, to report they are being abused, neglected, and trafficked. [Emphasis added]
For at least a decade, HHS has been responsible for the suffering of countless children. This assessment is based solely on the information currently available; however, it has been established that the unknown factors significantly outweigh what is known. This must change. [Emphasis added]
According to Rodas, under Biden and Harris, “child trafficking has evolved into an international syndicate of gangs and cartels that is highly organized and very efficient” and HHS “has a 10-year demonstrated record of losing children to sponsors who traffick, exploit, and harm children in unthinkable ways.”
Rodas continued:
Sadly, due to the failed open border policies of the Biden-Harris Administration, we have delivered these unaccompanied children to criminals, traffickers and members of transnational criminal organizations who are using the UAC program as a white glove delivery service of children. These criminal sponsors are defrauding the U.S. government by using the UAC program as the logistical chain of their child trafficking operation. [Emphasis added]
Retired Border Patrol Deputy Agent in Charge J.J. Carrell revealed insider DHS knowledge about the role non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play in the UAC program and how they make billions aiding the federal government with the resettlement of migrant children across the U.S.
Catholic Charities, Lutheran Family Services, and Jewish Family Services are the main NGOs facilitating the UAC program, Carrell said:
I spoke to a gentleman who works in DHS, he actually sends the electronic fund transfers and I asked him, ‘Sir, tell me, who are you responsible for and how much is the largest check you’ve cut?’ He said, ‘I’m over Jewish Family Services and I cut a check for $600 million.’ And I said, ‘Is that for like three years?’ and he told me, ‘J.J., get in the game, that’s two or three months and it’s renewable.’ That’s one NGO. And I said, ‘Well, Catholic Charities is bigger than Jewish Family Services.’ He said, ‘Yes, they get the same or more.’ [Emphasis added]
You’re talking about billions upon billions of dollars given to NGOs to further the trafficking of all, of everyone crossing the border, including children. [Emphasis added]
Rodas said President-Elect Donald Trump’s nominee to lead HHS, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is “aware of this crisis and his talented team is discussing solutions to end this crisis.”
“In the new Administration, there are simple fixes that Border Czar Tom Homan, HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr., DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and others can do to defend and protect children,” Rodas said.
Among those fixes are requiring DNA testing for UACs and the adults they arrive with at the southern border, prison time for adult sponsors who cannot account for a UAC’s whereabouts, designating child trafficking a terrorist activity, and stopping the release of UACs into the U.S. interior until those who are unaccounted for across the U.S. are found by HHS.

A side bonus of voting for President Trump – order to the universe will be restored.
On January 21, 2025, the day after President Trump’s second Inauguration, SIX PLANETS WILL ALIGN IN A PLANET PARADE in the Sky!
You will be able to see Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn with the naked eye!
Historic Vids @historyinmemes
January 2025 brings a rare sight: six planets aligning, with Mercury joining for seven. Visible starting January 21 after sunset, you can see Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn without gear. Telescope needed for Neptune, Uranus.
According to Egeberkina:
Most, if not all, locations in the US, Canada and Mexico should be able to see the planetary parade this time around thanks to its long length and limited planetary movement. We checked observatories in California, Texas, Ohio and New York in the US, along with Calgary in Canada and Mexico City, Mexico. We were able to find all six planets at each location, so it doesn’t matter how far north, east, west or south you go, you’ll be able to see it.
In general, the best time to view the planet parade will be after Jan. 21, 2025, and before Feb. 21, 2025.
Ege @egeberkina
Replying to @historyinmemes Will my region see the planet parade?

Outgoing President Joe Biden’s Justice Department moved on election night on Nov. 5 to essentially ensure the cover-up of a potentially massive green energy scandal, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.
This story has tentacles back through, not just the Biden administration, but all the way back to the Obama administration, and it could be something that jeopardizes the broader green energy agenda and the future of leftist solar projects on federal lands. At least one congresswoman is already formally pressing the DOJ for answers, and more members of Congress are likely to get involved soon. It could even have major implications for the incoming administration’s energy policy.
On Nov. 5, at 5:20 p.m. ET, less than an hour before the first polls closed and when it had become clear from the exit polls that Democrat presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris was likely to lose, an attorney with the Justice Department emailed lawyers for plaintiffs in a qui tam lawsuit aimed at recouping significant losses the taxpayers allegedly incurred from a failed solar plant in Nevada. A qui tam lawsuit is when a private plaintiff sues on behalf of the U.S. Government to recoup taxpayer dollars — often alleging fraud, misuse, or theft of taxpayer dollars.
The email from the DOJ stated what plaintiffs started hearing through the grapevine as the election neared and it became clear the Harris campaign was in trouble. The email said that the DOJ intended to dismiss a lawsuit that it had previously allowed to proceed, thereby undercutting the private push to recoup significant losses for American taxpayers.
“The United States intends to intervene in this case for the purpose of dismissing the qui tam claims under 31 U.S.C. 3730(c)(2)(A),” Anthony Gill, a trial lawyer for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Division Fraud Section, emailed attorneys for CMB Export, LLC, an EB-5 visa firm that had filed the qui tam lawsuit in question. “The United States has determined that dismissal is commensurate with the public interest and that the matter does not warrant the continued expenditure of government resources. The anticipated discovery and litigation obligations associated with the continued litigation of this case will impose an undue burden on the U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of Energy, and U.S. Department of Justice.”
“We intend to file our motion this week,” Gill added in the email, obtained by Breitbart News. “There is not more I can add to the United States’ decision to seek dismissal under 3730(c)(2)(A), but feel free to let us know if you have any questions.”
This decision was shocking to plaintiffs because it represented a major reversal of the position the very same Biden Justice Department had previously taken. The Justice Department had, after years of inexplicable delays, previously declined to intervene in the qui tam suit per a filing on June 1, 2023 — it took the Department years to finally get to this point — and then the case was unsealed finally on Jan. 24, 2024 — eleven months ago — after a battle on that front in court. In laymen’s terms, what the Justice Department formally declining to intervene in a qui tam suit and then the suit getting unsealed by the court means is the plaintiffs in the qui tam suit can proceed with litigation against the defendants.
This story begins back during Obama’s administration, when leftists and environmentalists supercharged a crazed push towards so-called renewable energy sources. The federal government under Obama backed what was called the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project with $737 million in guaranteed loans. The plant was a $1 billion project.
Ostensibly, what Crescent Dunes was building was a 1,600-acre plant in the Nevada desert designed to use mirrors to capture sunlight to heat molten salt in a giant tower to create energy. “The plant was supposed to generate clean energy using more than 10,000 mirrors to heat molten salt in a 640-foot-high tower,” the Las Vegas Review Journal wrote in a 2020 editorial about the project’s failures. “The superheated salt would then boil water, creating steam to produce power. Making this endeavor even more exciting was that salt was supposed to be able to store heat and produce electricity after sunset.”
Then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Democrat from Nevada, had talked for years about making the Silver State “the Saudi Arabia of geothermal and solar energy.” This fit the bill. Reid, who has since retired and passed away, now has the Las Vegas airport named after him. While he is gone, the U.S. taxpayer is still allegedly out with what sources familiar with the details of the lawsuit say is more than $200 million, and could be as high as $700 million or even more depending on factors such as depreciation and loan guarantees.
The plant went into bankruptcy in 2020 after years of failing to return any profit, but as of 2021, it was reportedly operating again somewhat under a different ownership structure per a local news report from 8NewsNow in Nevada. That story detailed some of the problems with the technology as well.
“In addition to its struggles to turn a profit, the plant also was criticized because birds were dying in the intense heat produced by the panels. Some reports indicated that birds had burst into flames in mid-flight,” the 8NewsNow report from 2021 from a Las Vegas television station reads. “Another problem surrounded a report that workers were hospitalized after they were exposed to nitrogen dioxide — a gas emitted from the hot salt tank.”
These and other major problems with the technology and operations at the Crescent Dunes plant that significantly delayed its launch — and even took the plant offline for a year — call into question the legitimacy of cash grants, guaranteed loans, and depreciation benefits and whether American taxpayers were essentially bilked out of the cash and are now owed money.
That is what the qui tam lawsuit aimed to rectify, and that is where CMB Export, LLC comes in. CMB’s interest is, as an EB-5 visa firm, they say they are out tens of millions of dollars because of the failed project. So, they began investigating what happened and uncovered these major concerns with regard to how the Obama administration awarded these grants and other taxpayer-funded benefits, which are the basis for the qui tam lawsuit. The Biden Justice Department slow-walked it for years but finally approved the case to move forward procedurally. Everything was going smoothly until just before the election, a couple days out from Trump’s triumph over Harris, when CMB began hearing that the Biden Justice Department may reverse its support for the lawsuit.
Notice of that reversal is what formally came in those Election Night emails from the DOJ official, followed by a filing the next day in court seeking the dismissal of the qui tam case. The timing begs questions regarding why the Biden Justice Department would — from all appearances — seek to cover this up before Donald Trump would win the Presidential Election and Republicans would control both houses in Congress.
There is growing interest in Congress about getting answers from the DOJ.
Rep. Carol Miller (R-WV) wrote on Monday to Attorney General Merrick Garland to demand answers about the election night reversal.
“I am writing to express my concern regarding the Department of Justice’s recent decision to intervene and dismiss the qui tam case filed by CMB Export, LLC, under the False Claims Act against Tonopah Solar Energy, LLC, Cobra Energy Investment, and other associated parties,” Miller wrote to Garland in the letter, a copy of which was obtained by Breitbart News. “This case, centered on allegations of significant fraud and misrepresentation regarding the Crescent Dunes Project, raises serious questions about the use of taxpayer funds and the federal government’s commitment to holding parties accountable for alleged misconduct. The timing of the Department’s decision to dismiss this case is particularly troubling. After three and a half years of investigation, during which the case was under seal, the Department chose to allow CMB Export to proceed with prosecution as of August 2023. However, on November 6, 2024—just one day after the presidential election—the Department reversed course, intervening to dismiss the case with no clear justification provided beyond vague references to ‘public interest’ and the ‘expenditure of government resources.’”
Breitbart News reached out to Congressman Miller, who gave the following exclusive comment:
On November 5th, the American people rejected the Biden administration’s radical green new deal agenda and voted for affordable energy. If this project isn’t fulfilling its commitment, the DOJ needs to fully investigate. There must be accountability and transparency for every taxpayer dollar spent by the government, and I look forward to hearing from AG Garland.
Breitbart News has also learned that other members of Congress have been made aware of the matter.
There are major implications as well for the incoming Trump administration. Of course, this matter cuts across several federal government departments — from Justice to Interior to Energy to Treasury. The Justice Department is at the center of things, so incoming Attorney General Pam Bondi, will be in position to evaluate the matter and make a decision about how to proceed. Incoming Energy Secretary Chris Wright and incoming Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum will also need to look at solar and other green energy policies. Earlier this year, for example, the Biden administration’s Interior Department announced an expanded push for more solar energy projects like Crescent Dunes on federal lands.
“Officials at the federal Bureau of Land Management announced Aug. 29 they had finalized a plan to add Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington and Wyoming to its existing Western Solar Plan – an Obama-era project that expanded permitting for solar projects on federal land,” the Oregon Capital Chronicle’s Alex Baumhardt wrote in September. “When it was first implemented in 2012, it only included Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.”
This expansion includes millions and millions of federal land acres across these major wide-open western states, and it will be critical how Secretaries Burgum and Wright handle all of this.
As for Treasury, incoming Secretary Scott Bessent — just announced last week as Trump’s pick to lead the important Treasury Department — will have to decide if his Department was lied to by the Energy Department when the cash grants were made during the Obama administration.
The newly-formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to be led by businessmen Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, could also end up weighing in on the bloated bureaucracy and waste of taxpayer resources on projects such as Crescent Dunes.
Trump himself of course has promised to revitalize American energy and has regularly criticized green Leftist projects like this.

The Trump transition team shot down a report from a British newspaper claiming that President-elect Donald Trump is planning an executive order that would remove all transgender troops from the military and prevent transgender people from joining the military.
Citing “defence sources,” British newspaper The Times reported that the order could come on Trump’s first day back in the White House. The order would reportedly go further than Trump went during his first administration when he ordered that transgender people could serve, but as their biological sex.
Trump transition team spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to the paper and other news outlets:
These unnamed sources are speculating and have no idea what they are actually talking about. No decisions on this issue have been made. No policy should ever be deemed official unless it comes directly from President Trump or his authorized spokespeople.
Trump had reversed a policy put into place by former President Barack Obama in his last year in office, which allowed transgender troops to serve openly, undergo gender reassignment surgery, and formally change their gender in Pentagon systems.
President Joe Biden then reversed Trump’s policy during his first week in the White House.
There have been a number of inaccurate reports about what the incoming Trump administration will do.
The Times, citing unnamed sources “familiar with Trump’s plans” complained that “people will be forced out at a time when the military can’t recruit enough people.
It is unknown how many transgender troops are currently serving in the military, out of 1.3 million active-duty members.
Trump Defense Secretary Nominee Pete Hegseth has vowed to rid the military of woke policies and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives that flourished over the past decade beginning under the Obama administration.

The Times of Israel smeared Rebel News founder and journalist Ezra Levant as a “far-right activist” on Sunday after he was arrested in Toronto, Canada, for filming an anti-Israel protest in a Jewish neighborhood on a public sidewalk.
The Times of Israel reported:
Canadian far-right political pundit Ezra Levant has been arrested at a pro-Hamas rally in Toronto, after he refused police instructions to move away from the demonstration, claiming he was being discriminated against for being Jewish.
In a video of the arrest posted to social media by Levant’s Rebel News platform, officers can be heard telling the conservative activist that his presence at the pro-Palestinian rally was “inciting the crowd.
The officer then tells him he is under “arrest for breaching the peace,” at which point the protesters erupt in cheers and calls of “Zionist” and “loser.”
As the Times of Israel admitted, one protester at the Toronto event was dressed as Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, while another held a sign urging Jews to go to Amsterdam, the site of a massive antisemitic riot earlier this month.
Such displays would be offensive to mainstream readers of the Times of Israel, yet it smears Levant as “far-right.”
Video of the arrest, posted by Rebel News — a self-identified conservative news outlet, but not “far-right” — shows Levant being ushered by police away from a group of protesters holding Palestinian flags. A confrontation ensues as police claim Levant is inciting the mob by filming them in public, while Levant says it is the mob that is inciting violence.
After Levant refuses to move aside upon the orders of the police, the police arrest him for disturbing the peace.
Police in Canada have a habit of arresting conservative reporters, so much so that Rebel News is actually suing the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) over an earlier arrest of reporter David Menzies for attempting to ask a member of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government a question as she walked down a public sidewalk.
In the United States, public sidewalks are typically where free speech is at its most free, with few boundaries.
Levant is no more “far-right” than the Times of Israel’s readership. But the online news website often reliable on news in Israel, frequently takes potshots at conservatives in the United States and Canada — as in this egregious example.

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — Kim Dotcom, the internet entrepreneur fighting deportation from New Zealand to the United States on charges relating to his file-sharing website Megaupload, has suffered a “serious stroke”, a post on his X account said Monday.
“I have the best health professionals helping me to make a recovery. I will be back as soon as I can. Please be patient and pray for my family and I,” the post said.
Dotcom’s lawyer, Ira Rothken, confirmed to The Associated Press that the contents of the statement were accurate. Rothken would not say whether Dotcom or someone else wrote the post and did not provide further details.
News of his ill health comes during a protracted battle by the U.S. government to extradite the Finnish-German millionaire to the United States from New Zealand to face charges of copyright infringement, money laundering and racketeering.
In August, New Zealand ’s justice minister announced that Dotcom should be surrendered to the United States to face trial, a ruling intended to cap a 12-year legal battle. A date for the extradition was not set, and Paul Goldsmith, the minister, said Dotcom would be allowed “a short period of time to consider and take advice” on the decision.
Rothken at the time wrote on X that Dotcom intended to challenge the order in court through a judicial review, in which a judge is asked to evaluate whether an official’s decision was reached correctly.
The saga stretches to the 2012 arrest of Dotcom in a dramatic raid on his Auckland mansion, along with other company officers. Prosecutors said the once wildly popular Megaupload raked in at least $175 million — mainly from people who used the site to illegally download songs, television shows and movies — before the FBI shut it down earlier that year.
Lawyers for Dotcom and the others arrested had argued that it was the users of the site, founded in 2005, who chose to pirate material, not its founders. But prosecutors argued the men were the architects of a vast criminal enterprise, with the Department of Justice describing it as the largest criminal copyright case in U.S. history.
The men fought the order for years — lambasting the investigation and arrests — but in 2021 New Zealand’s Supreme Court ruled that Dotcom and two other men could be extradited. It remained up to the country’s Justice Minister to decide if the extradition should proceed.
“I love New Zealand. I’m not leaving,” German-born Dotcom wrote on X in August. He did not respond to an AP request for comment at the time, or on Monday.
Two of Dotcom’s former business partners pleaded guilty to the charges they faced and served time in a New Zealand jail, avoiding extradition to the U.S. Prosecutors abandoned an extradition bid against another, who has since died of cancer.
Dotcom did not say in Monday’s statement when he suffered the stroke. Usually a prolific X user, the internet mogul last posted to the site on Nov. 6.

US State Department employees who can’t handle Donald Trump’s presidential victory should be fired on day one of his administration, Republican lawmakers have argued. The diplomatic corps reportedly organized therapy sessions for people who are upset over the outcome of the recent election.
In a letter sent to Secretary of State Antony Blinken last week, Republican Representative Darrell Issa of California accused the department of “catering to federal employees who are personally devastated by the normal functioning of American democracy.”
Issa was referring to a report published earlier this month by the Washington Free Beacon, which cited an internal memo about two therapy sessions on “managing stress during change,” the first of which was on the Friday after the election. A State Department source described the event as a “‘cry session’ over Trump’s victory.”
It was disturbing, Issa said, that “ostensibly nonpartisan government officials would suffer a personal meltdown over the results of a free and fair election.” He suggested that “if foreign service officers cannot follow through on the American people’s preferences, they should resign and seek a political appointment in the next Democrat administration.”
Musk shows interest in purchasing MSNBCRead more Musk shows interest in purchasing MSNBC The letter, which was shared with the Washington Free Beacon, requested that Blinken provide explanations about the therapy sessions and other similar events that it may have held in-house in the past.
A similar rebuke came from Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who fumed that “our diplomacy is too important to be left to children” and called for every attendee of the therapy sessions to be fired “on day one” of the Trump administration.
Trump’s inauguration will take place on January 20. He picked Senator Marco Rubio of Florida to replace Blinken at the helm of the State Department, with no obstacles expected for his confirmation in Congress.
Left-leaning UK newspaper The Guardian offered its employees, particularly those living in the US, free counseling and emotional support following Trump’s victory, according to a memo quoted by Guido Fawkes, a British political gossip blog.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Border Patrol agents interdicted a large group of migrants shortly after they waded across the shallow Rio Grande 12 miles north of Eagle Pass on Friday. The large group of 260 migrants crossed into the United States just before daybreak.
Among the large migrant group were Iranian, Egyptian, Angolan, and Bolivian citizens. A source within Customs and Border Protection (CBP) says that multi-national groups of migrants are becoming the norm in the small Texas border city.
According to the source, not authorized to speak to the media, many within the group, including four Egyptian and two Iranian nationals, will ultimately be released into the United States to pursue asylum claims due to difficulties returning them to their home countries. Although a significant surge in border crossings anticipated after President-elect Trump’s recent victory has not materialized, the source says there has been an uptick, and migrant group sizes are growing.
As reported by Breitbart Texas, the surge is being prevented by law enforcement authorities in Mexico, who are still preventing thousands of migrants from using the country’s freight train system known as “La Bestia” or “The Beast” to reach the United States. The source says if that changes, Americans should expect a return to days when seven to ten thousand migrants or more crossed into the United States daily.
The source says Special Interest Alien crossings in the Eagle Pass was once a rarity. Violence in Sinaloa according to the source is one reason migrants from special interest countries may be choosing to enter the United States in Texas. Regardless, the trend is concerning the source told Breitbart Texas.
According to a 2019 DHS fact sheet, the term “Special Interest Alien” is defined as follows:
Generally, an SIA is a non-U.S. person who, based on an analysis of travel patterns, potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests. Often such individuals or groups are employing travel patterns known or evaluated to possibly have a nexus to terrorism. DHS analysis includes an examination of travel patterns, points of origin, and/or travel segments that are tied to current assessments of national and international threat environments.
This does not mean that all SIAs are “terrorists,” but rather that the travel and behavior of such individuals indicates a possible nexus to nefarious activity (including terrorism) and, at a minimum, provides indicators that necessitate heightened screening and further investigation. The term SIA does not indicate any specific derogatory information about the individual – and DHS has never indicated that the SIA designation means more than that.
As reported by Breitbart, Texas, authorities have seen an uptick in large migrant group crossings into Eagle Pass after a significant slowdown due to increased election year enforcement efforts in Mexico that significantly slowed the flow of migrants arriving at the United States border. During the first two weeks of November, the Del Rio Sector reported the arrest of nearly 4,000 migrants, most of whom crossed into Eagle Pass.
The pace of migrant entries within the sector, according to the source, is significantly lower than that experienced in November 2023, when more than 40,000 migrants were apprehended within the Del Rio Border Patrol Sector. “All we can do is cross our fingers and hope that the slight increases don’t lead to an all-out border rush in the lead-up to the inauguration in January,” the source added.
