Within hours of the 2024 election being called for Donald Trump, I published this piece declaring the end of the era of corporate media dominance.

“The Road to the White House no longer goes through 60 Minutes, CNN, Fox News, Meet the Press, the New York Times editorial board, or the cover of Time Magazine,” I wrote. “That road now runs through the Joe Rogan Experience, Breitbart News, New Media, podcasts, talk radio, and social media.”

However, I also wrote that we will never be rid of the corporate media. The propaganda value is worth too much for the massive multinational corporations and billionaires who own these outlets to ever give them up.

Nevertheless, once the affirmative action of carriage fees through pay TV comes to an end (where you are forced to subscribe to a cable/satellite package that includes channels you never watch and those channels still receive an unearned piece of your monthly payment) CNN and MSNBC will no longer be profitable. They cannot survive on merit (advertising fees based on viewers), but they will always be around because soulless liars like Joy Reid, Jake Tapper, Brian Stelter, Nicole Wallace, Rachel Maddow, and Dana Bash do and say what their corporate and Deep State masters tell them to do and say.

Well, so what? Let them talk to each other in their velvet-lined echo chamber of serial hoaxes and intolerance. In the only arena that matters to the corporate media, the arena of influencing, shaping, and manipulating public opinion, they have already lost.

Don’t misunderstand. Far-left outlets like CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, the Atlantic, the New York Times, etc., will always control the thinking of thin-skinned leftists intolerant of outside ideas who seek only comfort and affirmation. But us Normal People? No, no more, and the closing days of the 2024 presidential election proved that.

The corporate media sprung four October Surprises on the public to win a close race for Kamala Harris, and none of them worked…

Trump’s Madison Square Garden Nazi Rally

The Puerto Rico Joke

Trump Called for Liz Cheney’s Execution Hoax

Iowa Poll Hoax

A decade ago, that would’ve likely done it. This year, no one was listening. The rigged CNN panels where the Republican is outnumbered 5-to-1. The even worse MSNBC panel with zero Republicans. The emotional blackmail. The word policing. The shaming, the scolding, the lying, the “joy,” the “vibes,” the “brat”… No one was listening. Instead, they were listening to Donald Trump in long-form interviews with podcasters. They were scrolling social media for facts and then making up their own minds.

And now the signs are everywhere that the corporate media have turned the corner into irrelevance…

The far-left Los Angeles Times just fired its editorial board. This failing newspaper is already losing a shitload of money every month, and now the owner is looking to attract Republicans with a “fair and balanced” reboot:

The disgraced Chris Wallace exits CNN. That loser was making seven figures. With the affirmative action of pay TV carriage fees coming to an end, CNNLOL can no longer afford the yearly lease for Wallace’s soul. Wallace sounds like he will now try being a podcaster. He will fail because he sucks, but that tells you where the action is.

CNNLOL is facing massive post-election layoffs:

With the election in the rearview, C.E.O. Mark Thompson will finally implement his true transformation plan at the network—including the culling of hundreds of jobs. Many of CNN’s own journalists, plenty of whom were blinded by Trump’s significant victory, have evinced similar naiveté about their own fates.

In the next few months, I’m told, CNN will implement another round of layoffs that will impact hundreds of employees across the organization, including those whose TV production talents won’t necessarily be needed in the new digital-first landscape.

Comcast is looking to sell off MSNBC so it doesn’t drag down the stock price and the Comcast brand.

The far-left Washington Post is imploding due to two things: 1) Alienating everyone to the right of Fidel Castro, which gave 2) its residual far-left subscribers the power to finish the paper off for any real or perceived ideological sin, which is what’s happening.

MSNBC and CNN have suffered a crippling post-election ratings drop, probably due to viewers who have been assured for ten years the walls were closing in on Trump, only to see him and the MAGA movement triumph on Tuesday night.

The left-wing fascists at the Bulwark have been reduced to demanding Joe Biden go full-fascist to stop Donald Trump.

Then there were those who evaporated. Politico was a non-player. Time and Newsweek never hit anyone’s radar. The Atlantic disgraced itself with a hoax that only resulted in pointing and laughing. ABC and CBS News shamelessly rigged their respective presidential and vice presidential debates to no effect.

The best news is that the corporate media will never reform, never change, and fade even more into the echo chamber of irrelevance at the hands of a few million hard-left subscribers who keep them alive, but only if they remain irrelevant by comforting and affirming those subscribers.

The Russian software company RAU IT is hoping to cash in Donald Trump’s US election victory by selling drinks, including spirits and mineral water, branded ‘Trumpovka,’ RBK reported on Monday.

Russia’s intellectual property service, Rospatent, has registered an application to patent drinks named after the US president-elect. According to the International Classification of Goods and Services, the ‘Trumpovka’ trademark will allow the production of beer, wine and strong alcohol, as well as sports drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Application data on Rospatent’s website shows that the label of the Trump vodka will feature a silhouette of Donald Trump holding an accordion. The St. Petersburg-based company explained that it views drinks production as a way to diversify its business, which currently focuses on software development, and has subsidiaries of Rosatom, Lukoil and Gazprom among its clients.

“We thought that in the wake of the hype surrounding the US presidential election, some alcohol producers would start to produce vodka that resembles the name of Donald Trump,” the company told the outlet.

“So, we have preemptively filed an application for the trademark ‘Trumpovka’ so that the news peg would not play into the hands of companies that want to increase alcohol sales due to high-profile news.”

Similar moves have been made in the past. Several years after Vladimir Putin became Russia’s president, ‘Putinka’ vodka was released. The brand was a top seller, and the marketing move was seen as a success.

So far it is unclear when Trumpovka could hit the shelves, but other Trump-related merchandise is already entering the Russian marketplace, according to Mosckvich Mag.

While relations between Moscow and Washington are still tense over the Ukraine conflict, online shoppers in Russia are rushing to buy t-shirts depicting Trump with a backdrop of the Russian flag and double-headed eagle, and the slogan “I am Russian”.

The COP29 climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, opened on Monday with a declaration that climate alarmism is still in vogue, even with President-elect Donald Trump returning to the White House and a stern lecture for wealthy countries to stop thinking of climate funding for developing nations as “charity.”

“Now is the time to show that global cooperation is not down for the count,” U.N. climate chief Simon Stiell told the jet-setting COP29 attendees, who burned staggering amounts of fossil fuel to convene in oil-rich Azerbaijan.

Stiell was addressing concerns among the climate faithful that Trump will once again pull the United States out of the non-binding 2015 Paris climate agreement, as he did during his first term. President Joe Biden recommitted the U.S. to the Paris agreement on his first day in office in February 2021.

Politico on Sunday saw Trump casting a long shadow over COP29 since he could “move faster and with less restraint” to pull out of the Paris agreement after his landslide victory in the 2024 election.

“The United States’ absence from the deal would put other countries on the hook to make bigger reductions to their climate pollution. But it would also raise inevitable questions from some countries about how much more effort they should put in when the world’s second-largest greenhouse gas polluter is walking away,” Politico fretted.

Somehow the climate movement is just fine with the world’s largest greenhouse gas polluter, China, doing little except mouthing some lip service at climate conferences and making money off other nations buying solar panels and electric vehicle batteries, markets China has completely cornered.

China announced last year that it will exceed its Paris Agreement emissions goals by over 110 percent by 2030, and growing industrial powerhouse India has likewise ignored its “commitments” to reduce carbon emissions.

China, India, and Russia are all founding members of BRICS, a rapidly-expanding economic bloc that openly declares its members will not make any sacrifices for climate change because they view it as purely a U.S. and European responsibility.

No matter what Trump does next year, a much longer shadow falling across COP29 should be the growing realization among industrialized nations that the Paris Agreement goals were always insane. No country can afford to meet them without collapsing its industries, destroying the standard of living for its population, and spending trillions of dollars that no nation actually has in the bank.

“Countries are very committed to Paris, I don’t think there’s any question about that. What I do think is at risk is whether the world is able to follow through on what it committed to in Paris,” World Resources Institute climate chief David Waskow told Politico.

Other climate experts tried to goad Trump into staying with the Paris Agreement because withdrawing would supposedly allow China to “continue out-competing America on solar panels, electric vehicles, and other green technologies.”

This was an amusing bit of phrasing because it tacitly acknowledged that China is already out-competing America after four years of the more Paris-friendly Biden administration. China’s white-knuckled grip on green energy components might be loosened someday — assuming environmentalists are willing to stand by and allow other countries to dig up their rare earth minerals with enthusiasm approaching China’s — but that day will not be soon.

China has enough power over the rare-earths market to keep competitors out by surging supply and cratering prices, which makes fabulously expensive mining start-ups look like bad risks.

China produces about 80 percent of the world’s solar panels and produces about two-thirds of the world’s electric vehicles (EV), wind turbines, and EV batteries. The United States produces about two percent of the world’s solar panels. Not even the biggest booster of green energy seriously argues the U.S. could hustle those markets away from China, so there is virtually zero competitive advantage to be lost by withdrawing from the Paris Agreement.

Stiell told the COP29 audience that wealthy nations must stop thinking about climate funding for the Third World as “charity.” He might consider having a word with all of the activists who are bubbling about “climate reparations” as the hot new trend in global socialism.

“An ambitious new climate finance goal is entirely in the self-interest of every nation, including the largest and wealthiest,” Stiell declared.

“Ambitious” is a mild term for what COP29 has in mind. The goal for wealthy nations to finance climate transitions in the developing world has been $100 billion per year since 2009, but that plan will expire next year, and the climate change movement wants to replace it with trillions per year in spending. They also want the money to be disbursed as “grants” instead of “loans” that might one day merit repayment.

The president of the COP29 gathering, Mukhtar Babayev — a former executive with Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR — acknowledged that the trillion-dollar demands might be unrealistic, so the Third World might have to settle for mere “hundreds of billions” in climate funding from the First World.

The conference in Baku will discuss ways to make these demands seem more palatable to wary Western executives and tapped-out governments — for example, by pitching climate funding as profitable investments in Asian, African, and Latin American green industries.

The Associated Press (AP) reluctantly noted that political activists are trying to hijack COP29 by showing up at the venue wearing Palestinian keffiyeh scarves and waving banners that demand both “climate justice” and a halt to “fueling genocide” against the Palestinians.

“It’s the same systems of oppression and discrimination that are putting people on the frontlines of climate change and putting people on the front lines of conflict in Palestine,” declared Friends of the Earth International protester Lise Masson, whose demands included both more “climate finance” spending by the U.S. and Europe and less military support for Israel.

Actress Patricia Heaton hit at the “fear-mongering” media for traumatizing people after President-elect Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris last week.

Heaton delivered her takedown of the media over the weekend with a video posted on X.

“To all these extremists that are allowed television time, who told women that this is what is going to happen to them, shame on you! Shame on you!” she said. “Apparently, there are some really vulnerable people here who you targeted, and you fear-mongered to and you need to go back on the air and tell them things are going to be okay, tell them that they’re fine.”

“Also, stop saying people who voted differently from you are ‘uneducated’,” she continued. “Learn your f-ing lesson about smearing people who vote differently from you, who have different needs from you, who have legitimate complaints. Quit dismissing them as uneducated. When are you going to learn?”

Heaton mentioned the extremist online videos from women threatening to go on sex strikes while shaving their heads in fear that they will subjected to something like The Handmaid’s Tale.

Michael @MikesUsername77

Feminists, Please shave your heads like this one so we know who you are. Fight the patriarchal beauty standard by smelling bad, growing leg hair, and refraining from brushing your teeth! Do it!

“I’ve also seen a lot of the response videos — especially from women who are crying, screaming, shaving their heads, saying they’re going to be jailed or rounded up or killed or hunted or whatever,” Heaton said.

“We need to pray for them, and I just want to say to all you folks who feel that way, don’t make politics or identity groups your religion! Only Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Put your faith in Him, not in men, not in man’s institutions, not in human institutions,” she added.

As Breitbart News reported, Patricia Heaton came out strongly in defense of Jewish people this past summer in the face of antisemitism.

“Christ’s biological family is being murdered,” Heaton told Prager U CEO Marissa Streit. “Our savior’s biological family, the Jewish people, are being murdered. We need to stand for them. We are grafted into Israel by the graciousness of God, so we need to stand for them.”

The US and the UK are considering staging new attacks on critical undersea infrastructure reminiscent of the Nord Stream pipelines bombing, Nikolay Patrushev, an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has said.

Patrushev, who led Russia’s Security Council for over a decade before assuming his new role this year, made the remarks in an interview with the Kommersant daily published on Monday.

“According to available information, the Americans and the British are viewing the sabotage on the Nord Stream pipelines as one of many methods to advance their economic interests. They could attack other infrastructure facilities, including undersea fiber optic cables that provide communications throughout the world,” Patrushev stated.

The senior official also reiterated Moscow’s position on the 2022 Nord Stream attack, stating that the theory that it was bombed by some freelance Ukrainian divers did not hold any water.

The Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines were built under the Baltic Sea to deliver Russian natural gas directly to Germany. Both were destroyed by underwater explosions in September 2022. A number of Western media outlets later claimed that a six-strong crew of Ukrainian divers on a small yacht had planted the explosive devices that ruptured the pipelines.

“Anyone interested in the capabilities of foreign naval forces knows that the Ukrainian Navy has neither the equipment nor the trained specialists to carry out a deep-sea terrorist attack. Only special forces of NATO countries could carry out a sabotage of such scale,” he said, adding that it is “known for certain” the UK and the UK both possess such capabilities.

The ultimate goal of the Nord Stream bombing - as well as of the alleged potential new attacks - is to sow chaos and destabilization worldwide, Patrushev believes.

“Since the hegemony of the West began to falter, Washington decided to bring chaos to the energy market, including by destabilizing maritime transportation,” the official explained.

Patrushev pointed to the US campaign against the Yemen based Houthi group, which he said is officially designed to protect maritime traffic, but in reality serves as a “smokescreen” for plans to spark an “escalation in the region.”

Destabilization is needed to put pressure on major consumers, including China and India, and to lay a foundation for grabbing more of the global energy market, he suggested.

Upwards of 50,000 people have flown into oil-rich Baku, Azerbaijan, for the 29th annual United Nations climate conference where an aggressive push to limit carbon emissions is expected to dominate proceedings alongside demands for “compensation” to be paid by wealthy, industrial nations to the world’s poorest.

One noted absentee will be climate activist Greta Thunberg who says she will not be attending COP29 because the event is “greenwashing.”

Host nation Azerbaijan “has no ambition to take climate action”, she says, the BBC reports.

Even without her presence organizers have an ambitious schedule ahead with their desire not just to limit global emissions of pollutants but also arrange wealth transfers from rich industrialized countries to poorer third world entities it is claimed suffer due to their lack of development.

The hope is to resolve the COP29 summit’s top agenda item – a deal for up to $1 trillion in annual climate finance for developing countries, replacing a target of $100 billion.

“We are asking for the down payment of a very large debt – a down payment of $5tn [a year],” sais Tasneem Essop, executive director of Climate Action Network, global alliance of more than 1900 civil society organisations in over 130 countries.

The argument is rich nations allegedly prospered by burning fossil fuels and now need to fund poorer nations to avoid the same path, and cope with the severe heatwaves, floods and storms fuelled by global heating and already here.

“Climate reparations” have consequently been demanded.

“We know the debt is much larger, but $5tn is what we come here to demand,” Essop declared to the Guardian.

COP29 takes place in the shadow of President-elect Donald Trump’s return to the White House and the move will doubtless see him repeat his scepticism of the entire “save the world” mantra of environmental activists.

Trump has pledged to once again withdraw the U.N. from the landmark Paris climate agreement.

As the talks opened, U.N. climate chief Simon Stiell told countries: “Now is the time to show that global cooperation is not down for the count.”

And he warned wealthy countries who are struggling to agree a new funding target to “dispense with any idea that climate finance is charity.”

“An ambitious new climate finance goal is entirely in the self-interest of every nation, including the largest and wealthiest.”

More than 51,000 people are expected at the COP29 talks, which run from November 11 to 22.

Leftists on social media were triggered after photos revealed that NHL legend Wayne Gretzky attended a victory party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort and even wore a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Gretzky, known among hockey fans as “The Great One,” attended the party alongside his wife, Janet, his son, Trevor, daughter Paulina, and Paulina’s husband, Dustin Johnson, Fox News reported.

Unsurprisingly, Democrats and other leftists on social media quickly went into despair over Gretzky’s support for the president-elect.

While most seemed to be happy to see Gretzky in his MAGA hat, a lot of liberals found the photos just added to their despair over the amazing Trump landslide election.

Of course, Gretzky got far more social media support for his visit to Florida than he did detractors.

President-Elect Donald Trump had made peace in Europe a key campaign pledge, but several NATO member states are dedicated to total Ukrainian victory and will discuss how to “thwart” him and keep Kyiv in the war even if Washington withdraws support.

London, Paris, and Warsaw are to form the nucleus of a European effort to keep Ukraine’s defensive war against Russia going even if the Trump Presidency from January 2025 tries to bring an end to the Ukraine war. Exactly how he will achieve this campaign pledge has not been publicly articulated to date. However, a ‘land swap’ between Kyiv and Moscow or a Korean-style demilitarised zone has been discussed as options open to Trump, neither of which aligns with Ukraine’s official ambition of total victory.

British Tory-aligned broadsheet The Daily Telegraph cites senior government — but unnamed — sources who tell of what the paper says is “expected to plot a last-ditch attempt to thwart Donald Trump’s efforts to scale back US support for Ukraine”. British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is in Paris today, having reviewed troops with French President Emmanuel Macron on the streets of Paris for Armistice Day, and the pair had talks on defence matters during the day.

It is stated the pair will have talked about keeping Ukraine fighting and how to persuade outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden to give a last-minute signoff on allowing Ukraine to use the long-range bunker-buster cruise missiles given to it by Western partners to launch strikes deep inside Russia. Ukraine has been calling for authorisation to use these advanced modern weapons in this way for months and it is a key part of President Zelensky’s ‘Victory Plan’, but the U.S. believes it risks serious escalation with Moscow.

A UK government source told the paper: “We are very keen to make sure we can make the most of the time between now and Jan 20 [when Mr Trump becomes US president] and not just put everything on hold until the next administration”. At the same time, a Downing Street official has told The Guardian newspaper that Starmer and Macron are moving to “best to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position going into the winter”.

That report characterised today’s meeting between Starmer and Macron as a “pointed show of European solidarity days after Donald Trump’s re-election”. The two countries funding Ukraine’s war post a possible future U.S. withdrawal of material support comes with a significant cost, however, given both the UK and France are presently struggling through major budgetary issues.

Whether voters can be persuaded to foot the true bill of Eastern European defence with American taxpayer help remains to be seen.

Beyond today’s France-UK meeting, Poland — now under the leadership of Eurocrat-globalist veteran politician Prime Minister Donald Tusk — is also moving to be a key player in the emerging anti-Trump foreign policy alliance. Tusk is expected to meet with British leader Sir Keir Starmer this week for talks and will have further discussions with Macron and Secretary General of NATO Mark Rutte. Tusk is also expected to involve NATO’s Scandinavian and Baltic members in the process.

Polish state television TVP quotes PM Tusk as having said over the weekend: “There is no doubt that this new political landscape is a serious challenge for everyone, especially in the context of a possible end to the Russian-Ukrainian war as a result of an agreement between, for example, the president of Russia and the new president of the United States.

“In the coming days, we will very intensively coordinate cooperation with countries that have a very similar view on the geopolitical and transatlantic situation and situation in Ukraine.”

Tusk said Ukraine ending the war would be a “fundamental threat to Poland and Polish interests,” given Poland has a land border with Russia’s Kaliningrad (formerly Konigsberg) and Russian nuclear ally Belarus.

As the Telegraph acknowledged, the moves against President Trump’s ambition to bring peace to Europe “could be seen by Mr Trump as an attempt to undermine US foreign policy.”

President Trump has, meanwhile, been making progress on his ambitions. He has spoken with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss his plan, with a German government spokesman stating that during their call, the two leaders “agreed to work together towards a return to peace in Europe.” Some media outlets claim Trump also spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone, but Moscow later outright denied this.

Speculation is mounting over how precisely President Trump could engineer a situation in which Ukraine and Russia agree to cease hostilities. British spymaster Sir Alex Younger suggested over the weekend that a land swap—where Russia returns some Ukrainian territory for Russian land captured by Kyiv—may be inevitable, if undesirable for those involved.

The senior intelligence man said it would be up to the UK and others to make sure such a peace would be one favourable to Europe, saying: “Trump’s advisers, on the one hand, are saying that Ukraine should be forced into neutrality, so basically back into the bosom of Putin.

“Others are talking about the need to do a land swap, but then reinforce its military and economic capabilities, and we need to make sure we are compounding that second argument.”

Also in contention, allegedly, is a demilitarised zone in Eastern Europe keeping Ukrainian and Russian forces apart, policed by European troops, including UK forces, almost a return of the old British Army of the Rhine, which held Western Europe in the face of the Soviet Union in the late 20th century. The 800-mile border said to be envisioned could tie up thousands of European troops for decades.

Iran’s foreign ministry has called for Israel to be removed from the United Nations after Syria said multiple civilians had been killed in an IDF airstrike on its capital Damascus on Sunday.

According to Syria’s SANA state-run news agency, the “Israeli enemy launched an aerial act of aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan.” It said the strike had targeted a residential building in the Sayyidah Zaynab, killing several civilians, including women and children.

In a statement on Monday, foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei “vehemently condemned Sunday’s aggressive attack by the Zionist regime,” and accused international bodies of turning a blind eye to alleged Israeli strikes.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) typically neither confirms nor denies such attacks.

Baghaei also urged the international community to “take practical and effective measures against the Zionist regime, including imposing an arms embargo, expelling the regime from the United Nations, and prosecuting and punishing its leaders.”

He said Israel routinely targets Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian territory with impunity because it enjoys the “unconditional support” of the US and “certain European nations.” He described those countries as “accomplices in the genocide and war crimes committed” by Israel in Gaza and elsewhere in the region.

Earlier this month, Malaysia prepared a draft resolution for the United Nations General Assembly, calling for the removal of Israel from the international organization over its actions in Palestine.

Amid its ongoing military operation against Hamas militants in Gaza, as well as rising tensions with Iran, Israel’s relations with the UN have become increasingly strained.

In early October, West Jerusalem declared UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres persona non grata, accusing him of failing to unequivocally condemn a previous Iranian missile attack on the Jewish state. Following Tehran’s strike, Guterres said in a post on X that he condemned the overall broadening of the Middle East conflict.

More than 100 UN member states have since signed a letter denouncing Israel’s decision regarding Guterres. The document insisted that “such actions undermine the United Nations’ ability to carry out its mandate, which includes mediating conflicts and providing humanitarian support.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has acknowledged for the first time that Israeli special services were behind a sabotage operation in which thousands of handheld pagers and radios exploded across Lebanon, killing dozens and wounding thousands.

On September 17, thousands of pagers, primarily used by Hezbollah militants, exploded simultaneously in Lebanon and parts of Syria. The following day, hundreds of walkie-talkies detonated in a similar wave of blasts. The attacks killed at least 42, including at least 12 civilians – and injured over 3,500 people including women and children.

The attack was widely attributed to the Israeli spy agency Mossad and viewed as a preemptive strike, after which Israel intensified its attacks on Lebanon, ultimately killing Hezbollah’s long-time secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah, in a September 27 strike on Beirut.

“The pager operation and the elimination of Nasrallah were carried out despite the opposition of senior officials in the defense establishment and those responsible for them in the political echelon,” Netanyahu said during Sunday’s weekly cabinet meeting, according to Israeli media reports. His spokesman, Omer Dostri, acknowledged that the PM indeed “confirmed Sunday that he greenlighted the pager operation in Lebanon” when reached for comment by AFP and CNN.

It is unclear who opposed the operations, but earlier this week, Netanyahu fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing him of “breach of trust” and citing “significant gaps” between their respective positions on the war against Hamas and Hezbollah.

Israel launched its war with Hamas, and later Hezbollah, after the Palestinian militant group attacked southern Israel on October 7 last year, killing around 1,100 people and taking more than 200 others hostage into Gaza.

The massive military retaliation by Israel has claimed roughly 43,500 lives in the enclave, according to Palestinian health officials. In Lebanon, Israeli strikes have killed more than 3,100 people and injured another 13,000, according to health ministry reports. Both military operations are ongoing, despite international pressure on Israel to halt the bloodshed and negotiate a resolution to the crisis.

Until now, Israel has refrained from claiming responsibility for the pager attacks, and its allies have denied any knowledge of them. The attack drew international condemnation, with UN Human Rights Commissioner Volker Turk labeling it a “shocking” and “unacceptable” act that violates human rights laws.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the UN General Assembly in September that there “can be no justification for acts of terrorism” committed against Israelis on October 7 last year, but stressed that “anyone who still has a sense of compassion is outraged by the fact that the October tragedy is being used for mass collective punishment.”

“Another glaring example of terrorist methods as a means of achieving political aims is the inhumane attack on Lebanon that transformed civilian technology into a lethal weapon,” Lavrov said, calling for an immediate international investigation.

Transgender player Blaire Fleming is steadily breaking women’s volleyball records at San Jose State despite the growing number of opposing teams that have boycotted games in which he has played.

For instance, despite SJSU’s loss to San Diego State on Saturday, Fleming achieved his 250th kill shot, a record that is unparalleled in women’s volleyball, the Daily Mail reported

This is not the first season that Fleming has hit the 250 mark. He achieved that record in 2022, as well, during his first year with the team.

The record is notable, especially since SJSU has sat out seven games this year because opposing teams have forfeited rather than play against him.

Five teams, Nevada, Utah, Boise State, Wyoming, and Utah State, have boycotted games against SJSU. They have refused to play against San Jose State, mostly because the teams say Fleming’s participation is unfair due to his physical advantage and because they fear for their safety due to his greater physical strength.

SJSU officials retaliated against one assistant coach who spoke out against the school’s quiet decision to allow Fleming to play as a woman on the team.

The suspension came just as shocking allegations emerged that Fleming and allies were plotting to injury players who did not support Fleming’s bid to be allowed to play as a woman on the team.

The suspension occurred early this month after assistant coach Melissa Batie-Smoose took a public stance against Fleming and the school by filing a Title IX complaint and giving an interview in which she lamented the toxic culture created by the school’s aggressively enforced trans-inclusion policy.

After the filing, the school issued a statement, telling Outkick, “The associate head coach of the San Jose State University women’s volleyball team is not with the team at this time, and we will not provide further information on this matter.”

In her Title IX complaint, Batie-Smoose alleges that Fleming, the transgender player, and another teammate engaged in a conspiracy to help San Jose State lose a match and injure SJSU player Brooke Slusser, Quilette reported.

Slusser is a member of women’s sports advocate Riley Gaines’ Title IX suit against the NCAA that accuses SJSU of deliberately covering up the fact that Fleming was a male.

Batie-Smoose alleges Fleming and another teammate violated team rules by leaving their hotel on October 3 to meet with Colorado State player Malaya Jones. During this meeting, Fleming and the unnamed SJSU player gave Jones scouting reports on their team, and Fleming agreed that he would not block any shots from Colorado State directed at Slusser.

Quilette also reported that Batie-Smoose became aware of the plot after the unnamed SJSU player confessed it to her.

The NCAA is also being sued by several groups over its policy of allowing transgender players to play as women.

Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said in a statement that when Trump “starts his term” as president, he will start “operations to deport millions of undocumented immigrants.”

“He’ll launch the largest mass deportation operation of undocumented immigrants on day one,” Leavitt added.

Breitbart News has reported that polls from the Pew Research Center, Fox News, and Ipsos have found that a large majority of Americans support the deportation of illegal migrants from the country.

Los Angeles County voters have chosen to pass Measure A, which will raise sales taxes by a quarter of a percent to fund homeless services.

The referendum, which seemed in doubt until recently, passed with 57% support.

CalMatters.org reported (original emphasis):

Measure A, which is leading in the ballots counted thus far, would end the county’s existing quarter-cent sales tax for homelessness that was scheduled to expire in 2027 and replace it with a half-cent tax that would begin immediately and continue in perpetuity. That new tax is expected to raise $1 billion a year, and since it has no sunset, that’s $1 billion a year forever — or at least until voters revoke it.

The money will be administered by the county, adhering to certain spending formulas contained within the measure itself. Officials have vowed to keep tight tabs on spending. According to the text of the measure, 61% of the money raised is slated to pay for homeless services — including money for mental health and addiction treatment — while 35.5% will go to the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency for affordable housing.

The remaining balance, about 3%, will go to the county’s development authority to help produce housing.

Voters had initially been skeptical, given that another referendum, Measure H, which passed in 2017 and raised sales taxes a quarter of a percent, failed to stop homelessness from rising (and arguably may, by funding more services, have increased it).

The outgoing Biden administration is seeking to fully use funds allocated for Ukraine to deliver additional weapons to the country, The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing unnamed White House officials. The plan, however, is reportedly facing logistics hurdles as the US further depletes its already thinned out stockpiles.

Washington has more than $7 billion left in drawdown authority, enabling the Pentagon to transfer weapons and ammunition to Kiev, as well as another $2 billion to fund long-term equipment contracts for Ukraine, the WSJ noted.

The pending delivery involves some 500 anti-aircraft missiles for various systems, including Patriots and NASAMS, a senior Biden administration official has said. The cache of missiles is expected to get delivered to Ukraine in the next few weeks, where it will meet the country’s air defense needs for the rest of the year.

The plan, however, has already raised concerns that it would further deplete already-exhausted US weapons stockpiles, officials told the newspaper. Apart from that, funneling a large amount of weaponry within mere weeks is bound to lead to logistics problems and put a further strain on US capabilities, the officials warned.

The rush to get as many weapons to Ukraine as possible before US President Joe Biden’s term ends is intended to give Kiev an advantage and reinforce its “negotiating position,” according to the WSJ. Before the presidential election, Washington sought to deliver the weaponry by April, but Donald Trump’s win has apparently prompted the outgoing administration to accelerate the process.

The president-elect has long been critical of the largesse afforded Kiev and has repeatedly pledged to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine overnight, potentially even before assuming office officially. Trump, however, has provided little to no detail on how exactly he would do that.

The delivery is unlikely to meet Kiev’s ever-growing weaponry wish list. Separately, the WSJ reported that Washington has refused to give Ukraine additional ATACMS ballistic missiles. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has informed Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky that the call to violate long-standing US arms contracts and prioritize Ukraine over its customers awaiting the missiles of the type was “too much to ask.”

The Pentagon has been reluctant to send additional ATACMS missiles to Ukraine, arguing that the munitions of the type were not actually needed since Russia had already moved all the valuable assets from their reach.

BERLIN (AP) – Tens of thousands of people celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall 35 years ago in Germany’s capital on Saturday with open-air concerts, art installations and official events commemorating one of the country’s most historic days on Nov. 9, 1989.

It was “a lucky day for which we Germans are still grateful today,” Chancellor Olaf Scholz said.

Built in 1961, the Berlin Wall stood for 28 years at the front line of the Cold War between the Americans and the Soviets. It was built by communists to cut off East Germans from the supposed ideological contamination of the West and to stem the tide of people fleeing East Germany.

It had carved a 156.4-kilometer (97.2-mile) swath through Berlin´s heart and the surrounding countryside, and through the hearts of many of its people. However, when the border was opened 35 years ago, it took less than a year until the country´s reunification on Oct. 3, 1990.

Today only a few stretches of the wall remain, mostly as a tourist attraction.

For the anniversary celebrations on Saturday, event organizers created a temporary wall of 5,000 posters designed by children and adults under the motto “We uphold freedom,” which attracted a steady flow of visitors, including many foreign tourists. It stands along a four-kilometer (2.5-mile ) stretch of the former wall in downtown Berlin.

The posters combine the demands of East German protesters against the communist authorities in autumn 1989, such as freedom of expression, freedom of the press and freedom to travel, with current day wishes and were created as part of workshops in schools, church parishes, local art groups and cultural projects.

“Uphold freedom, because without freedom everything else is nothing,” Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner said at an official anniversary event with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the Berlin Wall Memorial.

“Freedom and democracy have never been a matter of course,” the mayor said, warning that both were currently under attack from many sides.

For Saturday night, 700 professional and amateur musicians were expected to synchronously play songs on different stages along the path of the former wall.

Among other songs, they were planning to perform Heroes” by David Bowie and “Freiheit,” or freedom, by German rockstar Marius Müller-Westernhagen. The lyrics will be shown on screens so that the audience can sing along.

The Russian dissident band “Pussy Riot” is expected to perform on Sunday as the highlight and conclusion of the anniversary celebrations.

President-elect Donald Trump teased Democrats on Saturday after they spent tons of money and incurred debt trying to defeat him in the recent election.

“I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social:

"Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do. We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was “Earned Media,” and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Sources said Vice President Kamala Harris’s (D) campaign fell $20 million in debt during the last week of her campaign, Breitbart News reported on Wednesday.

One of her campaign staffers told the outlet that reports her campaign was $20 million in debt were real.

The person also said campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon reportedly “blew through a billion dollars in a few months.”

“The concerts that the Harris campaign held with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lizzo, Eminem, and Bruce Springsteen were reportedly ‘all Jen’s idea,’ the campaign staffer explained,” per the article.

Harris made a strong showing among female voters but did not quite make the cut with urban voters and young voters whom she needed for support.

Trump won the election on Tuesday and “will become the first person to win back the Oval Office after losing a reelection bid since Democrat Grover Cleveland in 1892,” according to Breitbart News.

“In victory, Trump completed what is indisputably the greatest political comeback in American history,” Breitbart News’s Joel Pollak wrote.

“Cleveland, too, faced a closely and bitterly divided country in the wake of the U.S. Civil War. But Trump faced multiple prosecutions, two assassination attempts, censorship on social media, overt media bias, and even efforts to intimidate his lawyers,” he said.

On Wednesday, Trump’s campaign released a statement confirming Harris conceded the election and called the former president to congratulate him, Breitbart News reported.

On the day after Election Day, comedian and former late-night TV host Jay Leno insisted that the election of Donald Trump on Tuesday was a “great day for democracy.”

Appearing Wednesday on the CBS daytime show, The Talk, the 74-year-old star and famed car collector was pleased that the election was “fair and honest.”

“The nice thing about this election is, it was fair, it was honest,” the former Tonight Show host said.

While insisting he was not really a Trump fan, he added, “but that’s OK, it’s the president of the United States – let’s all get together, thank you very much.”

He went on to say that he is glad that the election wasn’t very close and that the election was “done professionally,” to avoid all the post-election questions that occurred in 2020.

“Everybody says it was honest. I mean, it’s a great day for democracy,” he said of Tuesday’s results.

Leno added that today’s late-night hosts “pick a side” and are not equal opportunity jokesters.

“Well, you know, it was different – in my day, you kind of made fun of both sides. You’d get angry letters from both sides. Now you kind of have to take a side and, yeah, it’s little bit different,” he said.

Unsurprisingly, Leno got those angry “letters” as left-wingers angry over Trump’s election to a second term attacked him on social media in the wake of his appearance on The Talk, the Daily Mail reported.

In fact, Leno certainly was not a Trump fan. Ahead of the election, the comedian insisted in January that America can “do better” than Trump.

Leno also helped Biden’s campaign. As Breitbart News reported in 2020, Leno helped host a celebrity fundraiser for then-candidate Joe Biden, along with Rob Reiner and Barbra Streisand.

Donald Trump may have turned the U.S. red, but in Europe the airwaves and front pages turned blue as the very tribally left-wing legacy media vented their disappointment at the American people not voting as wanted.

German broadsheet newspaper Die Zeit said it for many in the European media on Wednesday morning with their reaction to the re-election of President-elect Trump, stating in their headline simply: “Fuck”. The colourful article comparing election night coverage to staring into a nuclear bomb’s mushroom cloud lamented “America doesn’t care at all” about European feelings.

Leaning into the now well-established trope that an election is a sure sign that democracy is dying, the article’s author rhetorically asked whether this was to be the end of America, writing: “American democracy is so old, it can handle it. The Egyptian Empire, the Roman Empire – everything that lasts a very long time lasts forever, we know that. And if not, if that was the last US election, at least people were watching. And now we can hardly wait to see what the next day will bring.”

Top-selling Spanish left-wing newspaper El Pais called the election a victory of a “convicted felon” and editorial by the paper’s editor-in-chief claimed a “victory of disinformation” and of reactionaries. France’s Liberation stated: “It would be tempting to decree that 50% of Americans are morons, but that would be flippant… all these people adhere to the priorities defined by Trump (violent economic protectionism, geopolitical isolationism, mass expulsions of migrants)”.

Of Trump himself they claimed: …convicted felon, misogynist, racist, egocentric, liar and probably disturbed. Either the voters did not take these accusations seriously, or they were perfectly aware of them but they do not care.”

Generally, European political leaders have been far more circumspect in both the run-up to this election and in their responses to the result. This contrasts very strongly with the attitude by the capitals of Europe back in 2016 in the days when to that ruling class, the notion of a Trump victory seemed utterly impossible, even laughable. This time, they bit their tongues — even if some, like Germany’s Chancellor couldn’t even bring himself to mention Trump by name in his statement responding to the election.

Broadcasters don’t have the same worries as politicians, they don’t have to try and forge alliances with a President Trump-led America from January. But there are still some very minor consequences, it seems, for some. British journalist Emily Maitlis, formerly senior political journalist at state broadcaster the BBC and now a founder of new venture The News Agents — a sort of super-podcast — saw herself get a telling off during live election coverage overnight because she couldn’t stop herself swearing.

As the Trump victory became ever-more apparent, Maitlis’s language during a live panel discussion on Britain’s Channel 4 news soured, the journalist calling Trump’s rhetoric about migrants eating pets “batshit”. She was quickly reprimanded by co-host Krishnan Guru-Murthy who said: “Stop swearing. I have to tell [the other guests] off for swearing and then you do it”.

Guru-Murthy said later after a break, during which Maitlis had left the set: “I will, I’ll tell Emily off later because I know she started swearing. It may be the middle of the night in Britain but they’re still a little bit sensitive about that stuff.” Maitlis denied she’d been kicked off set for her blue language, and that instead she’d gone to record an episode of The News Agents. But there too she was on form, evidently dressed for a party with oversized novelty cocktail earrings, and hosing the Trump campaign with criticism.

She said: “a lot of that has been done on the back of lies, right? It’s been done on the back of propaganda. Now I’m not saying he hasn’t won fairly… but a lot of the messaging and the stories he told were lies, whether it was about cats and dogs being eaten in Springfield, Ohio”.

Activists from a British direct action group sprayed bright orange paint across the front of the U.S. embassy in London on Wednesday morning “in response to the election result”.

Hard-left campaign group Just Stop Oil said in a statement Wednesday morning that “Corporate power” and “the fossil fuel industry” that “controls the major parties” are the only true winners of the U.S. Presidential election. Their activists sprayed the limestone wall proclaiming the Embassy of the United States of America with bright orange paint.

The act of vandalism was “in response to the election result this morning” and a rejection of “fascism”, they said. Just Stop Oil called President-elect Trump a “fake populist” because while appealing to the “disaffection many feel”, he doesn’t do what the group says is the truly important thing: ending oil and gas drilling.

Calling for others to get involved, JSO said: “Ordinary people have to step up, get organised and make change happen, because it should be clear by now, no political leaders are coming to save us. Just Stop Oil.”

One of the activists who sprayed paint and who was subsequently detained by armed police was 25-year-old Joseph Aggarwal, who articulated something of a left-wing-populist position himself.

Speaking of a uni party, apparently without recognition, the next President of the United States has certainly been recognised as a political outsider; Aggarwal said: “Across the Western world, people can vote for parties that bear more resemblance than difference to one another.

“No matter who they vote for, they receive an assault on living conditions, continued injustice and the drive towards climate collapse. This lack of real democracy breeds resentment and allows bad actors like Trump to exploit the disquiet to further benefit the billionaire class.”

On Wednesday morning, former and future President Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, securing the support of over 70 million American citizens.

The race in Maine’s Second Congressional District “will determine control of Congress,” which could explain why Democrats are throwing millions into the rural district, Austin Theriault, Republican candidate for Congress in that district, said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily.

Theriault, who is challenging Democrat incumbent Rep. James Golden (D-ME), said one of his biggest concerns right now is polls that are essentially trying to make people feel like they do not have to go and vote.

“And that’s my biggest concern, making sure that our side and our supporters realize this race is not in the bag. … We have to go vote,” the NASCAR driver-turned-politician said, noting this concern swings to the other side too, as some polls try to make it seem as if Democrats are so ahead that Republicans should not even bother to show up.

“And the other extreme, some of these polls that have, you know, Kamala way up in districts that are reliably Republican. I don’t believe those either. I think either way, we still got to go out and vote,” he said, noting that the state of the race is telling, given how much Democrats have spent on these rural districts.

“I just can’t believe how much a lot of these far left progressives are willing to spend in some of these rural districts around America to try to buy the seats for these Democrats who are going to vote for Hakeem Jeffries as the next speaker. I mean, think about the worst case scenario,” he said, laying out a scenario where former President Donald Trump wins, Republicans flip the Senate, but Democrats take the House and make Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) the Speaker and “nominating and putting forth a bunch of crazy folks to lead some of these committees.”

“You’ve got impeachment. You’ve got investigations — like that would be terrible. We can’t let that happen,” he said, urging the grassroots to get out and not allow “people like [the] Soros family and Michael Bloomberg trying to buy these elections.”

“The money the Democrats are throwing into this race the last couple days is insane. … We’re talking millions in a pretty rural part of the state of Maine, where it doesn’t cost that much money to run an election. They’re just throwing money at the wall because they’re so scared of losing the seat, we’ve got a lot of momentum.” the former NASCA driver said, noting that his opponent has “tied himself to the Biden Harris administration.”

Perhaps what is more, Austin Theriault warned his race against Golden will “probably come down to a couple hundred votes just based off of how close the polling has been.”

“Our side is excited. We want change. We want to give President Trump his one electoral vote in the Second District,” he said, adding at the end, “This seat will determine control of Congress.”

The Harris campaign and allied groups spent more than $2.185 billion trying to prevent former President Donald Trump from completing the greatest comeback in American political history, Bloomberg reported on Open Secrets data.

The $2.1 billion investment underscores the challenge Trump faces to win reelection, notwithstanding two assassination attempts and Democrats’ lawfare.

The vast sum does not include millions of funds invested in smaller amounts by Democrat-allied organizations. The top organizations that spent $2.185 billion include:

Harris for President: $875 million Future Forward: $621 million DNC: $368 million Harris Victory Fund: $321 million

“11,000 Political Groups Spent $14.7 Billion to Influence the 2024 Election,” Bloomberg wrote, reporting the particulars:

[I]t’s Vice President Kamala Harris who has the huge money advantage. She’s raised large sums from wealthy supporters and grassroots donors alike, which allowed her campaign to spend more handily compared to Trump’s, pouring $875 million into the race compared to $355 million for the Republican nominee.

Billions have passed through the coffers of the parties’ fundraising political action committees, including Democrats’ ActBlue and Republicans’ WinRed, which have processed more than 113 million donations and distributed $4.5 billion to other committees. The two PACs account for more than 31 cents of every dollar spent in the US, and have the most financial activity of any of the committees that spent money in the 2024 election cycle.

The US political system runs on money – and lots of it. With no legal limits on how much money can go into electing candidates to the White House and Congress, voters are deluged with ads, text messages and mailers as Republicans and Democrats battle to influence a deeply divided electorate.

Trump, however, posted an ad on Monday about overcoming adversity:

Nothing worth doing ever came easy. Treat the word impossible as nothing more than motivation. Never ever quit. Never quit. Adversity makes you stronger. Don’t give in. Don’t back down and never stop doing what you know is right. They want to take away my freedom, because I will never let them take away your freedoms. They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you and I just happen to be standing in their way.
