Ok thanks! I'll check it out.
Thanks! And he's not opposed to working on site, however he has been working remote for several years (before the scamdemic), it just seems like those remote jobs are harder to come by now because they get a ton more applications. I think many people realized that they work better remote, and value work-life balance more now, so those jobs get a lot more interest than the on-site ones. Also, we moved from a major metro area with a lot of jobs to one with a smaller job market, so remote jobs really do pay better than what we can find locally.
Thank! I'll pass this along.
Yes, he actually went to school for that years ago but got into a separate skillset within IT (systems admin based) which has somewhat pigeon-holed him for jobs. The industry changes so much as you know, so unless you're constantly learning and staying on top of new tech skills and trends, your skills become dated quickly. This is a good reminder and I'll certainly pass it along.
Good advice, and thank you! I pray daily and do daily affirmations like what you're saying, and I believe our thoughts create reality which I've seen happen in my life. I will pass this along to him.
I remember the sequester! We were living in the DC area at the time, so a lot of our friends were affected by it. Thank you for the encouragement, I will pass this along to my husband.
Thank you so much! And agree, I think God is using this opportunity to strengthen our/his faith. Appreciate you reaching out ❤️
Thanks! He hasnt looked into that yet (tends to be more traditional when it comes to jobs), but I know freelancing can help fill the gaps when needed. I'll definitely pass this along!
Thanks! I'll pass this along to him to look at
Good idea, and I like where you're going with this, but what is happening is jobs are asking the question on the application if you're vaxed or not, so my husband doesn't want to lie. What happens if they then ask for proof during the interview process and he doesn't have it? Most likely if it's a requirement they wont offer the job without some type of proof.
And when the recruiters call, that is one of the questions they ask. So they are just not submitting his resume for roles, and will gladly pick those who are saying yes to taking it. It's about 50% of jobs he's looking at, so not everyone. I'm just surprised companies are still asking for it with all the negative side effects coming out (even mainstream now).
Thanks! Will pass this along and have him look into Progressive.
Thank you! I will pass this along to him.
Amen! Amen! Thank you so much ❤️
I'll send you a message (it will show up under notifications at the top right)
Amen! Thank you so much!
I'll pass this along, thank you!
Amen!! Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you! and sorry to hear you're in the same boat. We have already burned through what little savings we had and by the grace of God made our mortgage payment for January, but not sure that is going to happen in February without a job.
It's tough out there, but were taking this time to re-assess our current fields and see if there's an opportunity to maybe start something new. I'm working on getting an online business up and running, but it's just in the creation phase so not really making money yet. The one good thing about this economy is there are a lot of opportunities that werent available before, such as online shops, affiliate marketing, youtube content creators, blogging, etc. Were looking into several of these to help supplement (or replace) our income.
Lol agree on avoiding woke states!! It's funny he gets calls about jobs up in NY / NJ / MD / Boston and they all want employees to come on-site (and often require vax). We are living in Florida now and loving it. Definitely not planning to relocate at this time.
