it's hot and humid all the time in most of the state. The only break you get is if you live in the northern part of the state, it is sometimes bearable from december through march.

if I'm to infer from your username that you're in the Pacific Northwest, the northwest corner of the state will be more to your liking ... hills, hiking, biking, outdoor pursuits, and a decent economy. The rest of the state outside the ozarks is economically depressed and there's a ton of poor blacks. cost of living is super cheap in that part of the state, but it comes with a price.
