I was reading a piece on the tone deafness of the gushing celebration at the WH yesterday while the market lost 1300 points. I didn’t know that they had James Taylor perform Fire and Rain. Most people are familiar with the chorus, but a commenter pointed out the song is about suicide, heroin addiction and mental illness.
My guess is the official story will be it's his signature song, but there are a multitude of artists and a plethora of songs. Apparently he went on to to give an obligatory shout out to climate change, but my tin foil is giving me a nudge towards this being comms. Suicide, drugs, mental hospital? Who does that remind you of??? Thoughts? Or do I need to adjust my hat?
