This may sound a bit strange to some people, but I'm a little distraught right now. My cat recently injured her tail very badly. After thinking about it, I think someone, maybe a neighbor, stepped on it and she tried to pull away and it yanked her tail out of its place. She has a really high fracture and is having her whole tail amputated tomorrow morning. I dropped her off at the vet this morning and they are afraid she may have some nerve damage and may not be able to control her bladder/anus muscles very well. Worst case she may have to be manually relieved for the rest of her life. She's only 5 years old. I pray that's not the case. She hasn't showed issues of that so the worry is that the surgery may be complicated because it's such a sensitive area.
She's at a major university vet school ICU so she's in good hands but the cost is going to be unbearable to me. 5-6k. All going on a credit card. I am already at the end of my financial rope. I make less than 1k a month and barely scraping by trying to save up anything I can. I don't know if anyone can help me find a better job, but I'll take just about anything, willing to relocate, freelance IT work, etc.
This is Princess. I pray that the surgery go well tomorrow and for Princess to be able to live a normal life again. Also help me find a way to pay for this and to find a more productive occupation.

Update Princess is out of surgery and the surgeon said it went very well with no complications and she should make a full recovery. Thanks again for the prayers, frens. It means a lot.
Over the past few months I have been working on something I wish to unveil now.
It's a new website for this community that is meant to take what we do here to the next level. Link is at the bottom but I want to tell you about it first:
I have felt a strong demand on this board for having a private communication platform and I just happened to be in a position to put such a thing together using public open source software and a private virtual server. It's taken over a year and many rebuilds and late nights to get to this point so I am proud to show it to you now.
The main website is an open social media experience with discussion threads, special interest groups, private messaging, and more. There is also a Matrix chat server which is being integrated at the moment and will provide encrypted direct and group chats.
The platform is free but in order to make it sustainable there are membership levels which grant special access to exclusive groups deeper within the community for a monthly fee. Those details will be inside but the only requirement to get in is an email address. No phone number, no data collection, and maintain as much anonymity as you wish.
Features:
- Profiles - Upload an avatar, bio, other info so you can build a following within GAW.
- Follow & Connect - Subscribe to other members posts and connect to send private messages.
- Groups - Create or join groups with a specific purpose or topic. Upload documents, images, videos, create discussion threads and collaborate on projects.
- Events - Hold classes, webinars, meetings, or just chat with your fellow pedes over voice/video using the Matrix/Jitsi powered chat server.
There is much more that I have planned for this platform but I want to know what you guys think of it so far. I also definitely need help with various admin tasks, marketing, graphic design and other things, so if you would like to contribute that would be much appreciated. Connect with me inside!
