Not a chance. Ours are a special species of politicians that are able to combine extreme corruption (normal state for any politician) with such extreme incompetence that it would destroy any normal incompetent oxygen thief.

Your name reminds me: I had really hoped that any farmers (or their experienced staff) who were pushed off land anywhere in Africa would come to the US. Farmers are invaluable. But alas: Russia snapped the last batch of farmers right up and gave them good land to work.
Still some productive farmers here. Luckily my daughter and her family sold their farm (and got paid for it) and are in a relatively safe part of Africa, in the Western Cape. I would be much happier if they were in a civilized part of the world, but is there such a place?
My wife and I cannot leave because of age and finances.
