Not so uncommon in Catholic Hospitals. The local C hospital where I live used to have the Pope's mug hanging in the lobby. For some interesting reason, this latest creepy Pope's visage is not there. In its place is a portrait of St Elizabeth Seton. I heard a rumor that the current Hospital Honcho - a Nun who is fervently pro-life - doesn't like the reigning Pontiff.
FWIW, I like this hospital, even though I'm not a Catholic. Good care. Good people running it. This past spring, according to a nurse who lives in my neighborhood, the Head Doctor refused to count patients who died of the flu and other causes as Covid victims even though it meant more money for the hospital. My county has had very few Covid deaths in the "official" count. This could be the reason for that.
Oh, and the nurse neighbor said the hospital beds were not scarce even at the height of the Covid scare in April/May. She says the current lock down in CA is not needed as hospital beds and services are not being overrun with dying Covid patients. At least it is that way in my county.
