Yeah I see that twitter poster disappointedly realizing that the photo was posted by don jr. to instagram before it was ever posted on the board. So false alarm here.
"Disappointedly" is an understatement. Watching those on our side get played like this is disheartening, more so is the fact that there's no back-slap "you did good, kids" legitimately out there. If some fat underground nerd is out there laughing his ass off because he deceived over a thousand people with the false-hope that their hard effort was being recognized by the President himself, well, nothing we can do about it except facepalm I guess.
People are looking for patterns everywhere. It's up to us to decipher which if any are legit. I wouldn't say he got played, he just got excited at a false alarm. It happens. The original poster might not have even meant to deceive, his comment was innocuous enough.
And if you don't think the president is grateful to his supporters, then why does he take every chance to drive by or fly by every single gathering he can? Or acknowledge every boat parade or caravan on twitter?
I agree. Anyone can be fooled. But working together, we can avoid be fooled as a group, and everyone has some insights to contribute.
In my line a work, a dumb idea has often led to a solution. Someone suggests something I know won't work, but I think about it so I can give a good response without being critical, which sparks an idea, and end up saying something along the lines of "...that won't work for this, but ..."
I don't get how he's sending thanks bc someone posted a photo that was already widely available?

Trump appears to be sending true believers and patriots his heartfelt thanks.
Much work remains to be done.
The end game approaches.
