Yeah, I don't understand the legalities of what he is saying. Regardless of anything else, Donald Trump's first term ends on 1/20/21, constitutionally. Even if Biden is arrested, how do you rectify that? Once those votes are received and announced in Congress, I don't see any way around it - Biden/Harris is ELECTED. Once they are elected, there are very few options available to untie that knot. I dare say they could legally take the oath of office even before 1/20, and technically be in office (at noon on that day) even if they are subsequently put in a jail cell.
We're on a countdown now - 7 days for legislatures to decertify/recertify, send new certificates of ascertainment - whatever they need to do. Or does our faith rest in Congress doing the right thing? I won't hold my breath.
If the National Security apparatus has all this info, what is the benefit of waiting until the last second to spring it on everyone?
This is conjecture. They struggle even with Electoral college policy. Easy does it. My first reaction is distrust, with everything.
You are a wise person. I wish far more here shared your same philosophy
