I have been recommended where to begin myself and have found the path through numerous channels, but I do believe if there was a “the rabbit hole...” post, it would be a great way to teach others about the movement.
We-go-all.net is a great place to start. Under menu bar, one should select research, and then who is Q. It's not an extensive explanation, but it's a start. I used to like the Alice in wonderland explanation but haven't seen that in a long while.
