I'm not 100% sure but I don't think her senate seat was up this election so she would assume her current senate position on the 3rd.
Hypothetically, the "VP Elect" would have until 2021-01-20 1159AM EST to step down from some other office if they wanted to be eligible for VP. Maybe sooner if there is paperwork or phone calls involved.
What do I know I'm just a maid. The Constitution says one thing and there is probably some buried election law that says something completely different.
I agree with this. Harris would not be holding 2 offices, since Pence's term lasts until noon on 1/20. It might not even be illegal to be VP and a sitting Senator, since the VP has a weird position of existing in both the Executive branch and the Legislative branch as President of the Senate. I would think that the Senate's own rules dictates whether or not they would allow that. Also, California would probably want a person who could dedicated their attention to the position.
Ultimately, for a VP to try to hold both positions would be self-defeating, since in the event of a tie, the President of the Senate would be expected to cast a tie-breaking vote, and the VP wouldn't be able to do that if they had already voted once as a Senator.

"Just A maid", your vote counts the very same amount as that of Kamala Harris. Don't ever forget it.
Ps. I have a very special place in my heart for those who keep clean houses.
